The shop in Bath with the library records he mentions
was my Dads place, Nashers Music Store :)
holla
Hey Hannah was watching that and wondered if he was talking about Nasher! I stayed at his place in Brazil in 2008 - the man was a complete legend 😍
I used to love that shop. It was a diggers dream.
@@barryscott1989 he was such a legend!! a seriously cool Guy!
Instant props for wearing an Eddie Hazel shirt.
And for Demon Fuzz!
Again, thank you Fuse for this series. I was almost ignorant and did not push play because I did not know who he was. This ended up actually being one of my favorite episodes.

I had to click because of his t-shirt. Big Eddie Hazel fan.

Hell yes. Thanks so much for doing this with Mr. Thing.
I went to see Mr Thing in Portrush at a hip hop night called Hustlers Convention about 15 years ago. He was dope then. Good times
What a nice guy..Think I supported him once when he played as a duo with one of his crew in my town.
Love his knowledge and enthusiasm.. and a top technical DJ!

Had the Mr.Thing and Dj Premier double cd , both were dope, Things was 90s hip hop mix, Prems was soul and funk
DJ nappa would also be a good shout for a future Crate Diggers....
Such a nice guy 😀 Great dj and very down to earth man.
Bring Crate Diggers back.

By FAR the best Tee Shirt I've seen on any vid.
+Matthew Dickerson love that album, one of my prized possessions, now if i could just find that shirt i would be soo happy
This was really dope. Never listened to his music, but pretty much all of the records he mentioned are fire.

7:28 - 7:31 Is the EXACT stupid looking smile and laugh that we all hope to achieve when digging for records!!!
When you got down to the Ultimate Breaks & Beats crate. Mine looks the same. It kinda stands out in a collection of records
Nice collection!!!
I'm a music lover, if I had all those albums you wouldn't see me for days.

I LOVE YOU
That crate digging life.....
what shelves are you using?
I have a question on the song “Do That Right” by the Disco Twins & Starchild. One of the songs sampled is in the background and I believe it actually says the title of the song. It says “do that right” “do that riiiiiiight”! Which is an actual break beat. Do you know what break beat it is?
i bought records when i had no turntable ,when my mum broke a 7inch of temptation by heaven 17 in front of me i went out and got the twelve inch.Man thats alot of records behind you
13:40 title?
that demon fuzz tho
Next Carl cox Collection

Great vid, just please make some more - soulwax, Mark Newlands, Jonny Trunk, Tom Ravenscroft 👍
Anyone know the name of the first song?
Never heard of this guy but hearing him reminds me, CRATE DIGGERS NEEDS TO DO AN EPISODE WITH LEAF DOG.
He’s part of scratch perverts. Insane djs.
How does your floor take the wait?
Apparently it's a very patient floor.
Booking fee?
Where do you stand on hoarders v collectors?
i need help fellow crate diggers ! i am about to go to New Jersey to crate dig and would like to ship the ones that i would buy there to LA where i actually live. what is the best way to ship 200 - 400 vinyl records?
"media mail"
what I nice guy
The ultimate trainspotter. Needs an anorak.
Little Demon Fuzz peek.
He says his uncle took him to London; but isn’t his accent from the London area? Maybe Brighton?
What's a library record?
pitchfork.com/features/starter/9410-library-music/
Fantano drone and ofc you don't know what library music is. Like poetry. Avatar is the icing on the cake.
"Yeah, I like sample based electronic music....like The Avalanches and uhhhh..........the list goes on."
(The Avalanches are fucking garbo btw & so is Pitchfork)
Did anyone spot the classic mountain record sticking out.
300 is kinda chill no?
motown
That's an amazing collection, no doubt. But honestly even if you heard 2 records daily would take years to finish hearing everything. I calculate around like 20-30 years.
It's too bad he did not live in The Bronx Suka Mc's came out he would have had no complaints from the sisters in regards to Hip Hop. Top 40.... Ha Ha Ha Ha Please.
"Wreck-ode".
Great vid, but please get your levels sorted!
c c c cold steel
this guy got lots of records if there a big fire they all going to burn ha ha ha
Something is wrong with you
english must got flavor
His mother played vinyl records in a car wat
The only issue I have is, are you a music fan or a collector. It is not possible that you can in any lifetime consume all those records in any depth. I have about 300 records and same in CD and I rarely get to hear many of them.
sounds like a YOU problem...I have over 1000 records I've heard every one of them, I have 2 Terabytes of mp3...I listen to them a lot...
+getyoasshome Same here, iTunes library is like in 30.000 songs, heard every one. Download, listen, delete or keep.
The relevant point in my post was ``ìn any depth``
+Cletus Awreetus-Awrightus For me personally the cool thing about having a collection is taking out a record and remembering where and why i've bought the record and getting the memories of that certain trip. Collecting is more than just listening to all of them!
I get that, I have some awful unlistenable Third Ear Band but won't let them go. :-)
this is ridiculous, finding Feelings by Torossi and Sven libaek my thing for 5 pounds each? I wonder what else he found
DO PEOPLE ACTUALLY BUY RECORDS TO LISTEN TO THEM OR JUST BECAUSE THEY ARE EXPENSIVE,, RARE AND EVERY BODY HAS THEM ?? THERES NO RECORD I OWN WHICH I WOULDNT LISTEN TO WOW THE AMOUNT OF TRASH PEOPLE REALY BUY DAMN
You wouldn't understand unless you come from a time before digital music. Back then, digging was completely different, because if you found something rare, you knew hardly anyone else had it, or could get access to it if they wanted to sample it. You felt a bit like Indiana Jones when you went out digging, looking for rare treasure. I know guys from England who used to travel to obscure countries in Eastern Europe, just to dig for records. It was a great time.
im a vinyl collector too and a music fanatic , audiophile you name it have never owned cds just vinyls so you would understand where im coming from too every record i buy or own trust me i have played or listen to them , yeah i know one mans meat is another mans poison but come on some of this records this guy own wow even me a collector cant make sense out of them , do they collect records just because it has been sampled ?? so you buy a record because a producer just used a 10 seconds sample from a track ? What happens to the rest of the songs on the album ahhhhh dont know
You ruined this video with the advertising
great collection!
