- How to set the aspect ratio or image size of your Midjourney ai art images. Want to fit your images to the phone or desktop wallpaper, or perhaps for prints? There's an easy command to do that, the --ar x:y command, such as --ar 4:5 or --ar 16:9. In this video I explain all about it.

Tell me, how's your new found aspect ratio freedom treating you? I've still found some cropping on really tall and wide images, but not half as bad as v4.
This is the first video I've sen from you. You have an excellent attitude towards teaching. Thank you for this.
Thank you, I try 😁
I appreciate this video I understood aspect ratios to a small degree. I really thank you for the definitive breakdowns on it and how the different versions of Midjourney work, because I didn't realize that.
You taught me more about ratios in the first 5 mins than I've learned reading hours worth of articles. Thank you!
Thanks!
Great info and straight to the point. Thank you!
Hi there, I'm trying to make a RUclips banner. I tried putting in --ar 2560:1440 and it's still not yielding the right dimensions or pixels. Do you have any insights? Thank you so much!
Thank you 🤩
Is there a way to change the aspect ratio of an image Midjourney already created? I developed it in the early days and it's perfect but it 1:1 and I'd like to keep it exactly the same but change it to 4:5.
wow! you are providing so much value in your videos. You really are a high quality pro Ai master! it is the second video i am watching and i have also subscribed to your amazing channel. i can't wait for the update of the video "scaling midjourney art for print". Do you have any videos on how and where to sell our ai art images? Thank you.
Is there a way to keep refining an image without having to enter all the prompts again?
Great vid! Is the new topaz one up yet? Thanks for what you do
Is there a way to get a 1080X1920 image? I tried several ways but I can't in photoshop the image is a little small and loses quality.
What aspect ratio do you use for print on demand, I know that you have to change it if you want a few sizes of the same image, so in that situation what is the best starting size?
This doesn’t seem to work for me. I keep getting nothing but 1:1 images no matter what AR I put in the prompt. I do have a paid plan.
what would I put in midjourney for 11 x 16 for example?
Very helpful!!!!!
Hi Dan, great channel and tips. Is it possible to create for example 3 different ratios from the same generated image?
Hey hey, not easily as the images generated are different each time, the closest you can get to is using a seed, so if you add for example `--seed 12345` each time you generate the image with a different ratio it'll have a go at keeping the image _roughly_ the same.
Any news regarding upscaling --v5? is TGPixel the best to upscale --v5? . I did try the upscale --v4 in TPG x4 ( x6 was a litle pixelated) and then strech it to 7201x 10600 pix looks ok.
How do I do the Ratio pics of the 🌙
Thanks for this video (and your others). The problem I am having and I can't find a solution anywhere pertains to setting the aspect ratio in Midjourney to an uploaded image. In other words, one can specify the aspect ratio for an image that is generated from text prompts as you describe in this video. What I want to do is upload an (jpg) image to Midjourney and then generate a "Midjourney" image by pasting the image link into the /imagine prompt and adding text prompts. However, one cannot specify the aspect ratio when doing this. The aspect ratio ALWAYS defaults to 1:1. Trying to add --ar (anything) to choose the aspect ratio results in an error message. Does anyone have any suggestions to get around this problem? thanks
If you already have a video on this question feel free to link me. haha Maybe this is asking too much but I have a digital art shop and list some of my Midjourney creations. I want this creations to be for multiple uses depending on the customer. The main use is business to business - they buy my art/clip art to use on printables (planners they make for personal or comm use), blogs, websites, social media templates, etc. I always keep the one image I want for myself, then choose from the others to sell. I use a smaller aspect ratio because these images would be going on those items, and to post to my shop's social media. The dilemma is that often I find that these images would make AMAZING posters. Can you scale something that is small like 8 1/2 x11 or less to poster size without quality issues? Or would I be best to start of at a larger ratio, then make scaled down copies of them?
Hello How about ratio --ar 9:11 -v5? ratio --ar 9:11 = how much resolution of pixel ?
What’s a good size for t-shirt print
About 8" to 12" across at 200dpi, so about 1,600 to 2,400 pixels across should do it, but more is better.
