Putin Fails To Win CSTO Allies’ Support On Ukraine War l Another Setback Amid NATO Expansion?

  • Leaders of the Russia-led Collective Security Treaty Organisation (CSTO) met on May 16 amid the Ukraine crisis. Russian President Vladimir Putin tried to use the summit to strengthen the bloc of ex-Soviet states against the West. The CSTO is viewed as Putin’s bid to form a Eurasian regional order, an alternative to the Western liberal order. The summit was supposed to be a celebratory meeting to commemorate the group's founding 30 years ago. However, some experts believe the summit instead demonstrated discord among some of Putin's friendly neighbours.

Most of Russia's allies are themselves authoritarian regimes too. Autocrats do not want to get involved in foreign wars, because they need their military at home to support their regime. Bringing their army abroad into an unpopular war would just expose themselves to public dissatisfaction and potential coups from unhappy military commanders.

I would love to see Lukashenko send Belarus troops to Ukraine. His power in Belarus is hanging on by a thin thread as it is. Without Putin’s involvement, Lukashenko would have been overthrown through his rigged reelection. If he actually tries to send troops into Ukraine, he will find his own troops might start to turn on him. Ukraine will be helping any Belarusians who will revolt to take down this dictator. This whole thing would remind me of Italy’s Mussolini tried to join forces with Hitler during WWII only ended up with Italians rise up to have him overthrown. I believe something similar would happen with Lukashenko if he chooses to send armies into Ukraine.

Any country fighting off Russia’s weight of numbers in manpower and equipment would need help. Ukraine has improved itself with its application to join the EU. It isn’t there yet and probably wont be for some time now but it was working in a forward direction. Russia continued to white ant its endeavours through the separatist rebels it planted in the Donbas. Ukraine is in the unfortunate situation of being like the ex-girlfriend that the boyfriend cannot let go and believes to be his.

The time is right for the West to start training Belarusian oppositions with arms combat and handling weapons. The moment Lukashenko sends his army into Ukraine, Belarusian oppositions can smuggle arms into Belarus from the north and west rapidly to take Minsk and Lukashenko hostage. With Western help, the Belarusian army can be offered better pay, conditions and modernisation, if they join the opposition. After all 80% voted against Lukashenlo in the last election, surely the numbers have not changed and they freedom fighters are more resolved. It's time to free Belarus. Throw a spanner into Putin's war machinery. Putin is running out of steam and now want CSTO to share the body bags. Glory to Ukraine.

Either you've been fed by fatty armenian lies or been under a rock this long that unable to analyse the whole situation. Armenia is a threat to itself. Yes. Read that again. As long as they are russian proxy/puppet in the region, it'll continue to do so. Last time I checked Armenia constantly bails on (by giving last minute excuses, most probably under russian pressure and its stupid hostile "opposition" parties) peace treaty agreements with Azerbaijan and Turkey to restore the regional peace and boom the economy. So who is threat to who?

Most western companies sink or swim based on their own competency and competition drives innovation, Take formula 1 for example as a democracy where each team is a company that needs to produce the best car(product) within the rules & regulations while any spec series represents the other, same cars for all there is still innovation but on a smaller scale. In many cases sports, politics and business all need healthy competition to truly benefit the people, look at what happened to intel when they had no real competition for a decade, sub par products at too much cost because consumers had no other option

Compare putin and his army with hitler and his army.
    1. They commit mass murder of civilians when they feel like doing so.
    2. They march exactly the same way, in an extraordinarily distinctive way.
    3. putin does exactly as hitler did when he lost confidence in his generals. He took command of the forces.
    4. The result of the takeover was exactly as when hitler did the same. His army failed miserably due to poor tactics.
    5. hitler had no qualms whatsoever about killing civilians in order to reach his goal. Again, we see exactly the same behavior in putin.
    6. Hitler wanted more space and launched an expansionist policy just as putin is doing the same against Ukraine and certainly if everything had gone his way, he would have done the same to the rest of the former Soviet Union!
So putin can DEFINITELY BE COMPARED WITH hitler, and he can DEFINITELY BE CALLED HITLER OF THE NEW AGE!
