Thank you for the video. My 2001 325i failed smog because of a check engine light that showed code p0118. Replaced engine coolant temperature sensor and check engine light did not return but aftet driving over 700 miles the drive cycle was still not reset for smog, i/m codes showed secondary air and oxygen sensor not ready. Replaced two precat oxygen sensors: used bosch 13477 oxygen sensors, same as 11781742050. Drove the car for around 40 miles and scanner showed all i/m ready for smog. Passed smog. Thank you!!
After months of giving it a google, and receiving my o2 sensors, I stumbled onto second vid of yours that had to do with the dreaded 'drive cycle' which, after over 1600 miles of normal driving, mine never got ready. I'm hoping this is it. My check engine light has been off for 4 months after confirming my sec air pump was actually working. This has been a pain. Thanks for your videos...!
What are the use of car sensors? They supposed to tell you what is wrong with your car. but what is really happening here is, instead of pinpointing exactly the real problem it will tell you a lot of possible causes for you to buy more carparts. They were designed to deceive us in order for them to make money. Before, you can tell what’s wrong with your car, the alternator ,starter or sparkplug. Now with hi tech sensors you will know all the problems but you will never get to fixed it. 99.99 percent you will end up to the mechanic.

did your monitor got ready or cometed after replacing the o2 sensor?
Should you disconnect the negative terminal on the battery before doing this?

No. If I remember correctly, the plugs are different too.
