Elephants are very social animals and engage in plenty of tactile forms of communication. You just need to take a look at Elephant Voices’ ethogram to discover this! Here you can see Khanyisa surrounded during a milk feeding by two curious elephants - Tokwe and her daughter Limpopo!
Khanyisa and Timisa follow up lunch with some socialising as they push, entwine trunks and rub against each other while Pisa and Klaserie stand close by.
Pisa is a little less interested but Klaserie makes sure to keep an eye on the two young ones. Soon Khanyisa decides it’s time for a nap and plops down into a mound. After her snooze, she is woken up by the feet of her allomother, Klaserie, as Pisa, Klaserie and Timisa all surround her while she’s lying down.
This is a great display of how elephants look after one another! - Животные
I could watch these magnificent creatures all day long!
These peeks into the life of this beautiful elephant family are so inspiring. We can learn a lot from these dear creatures. The love and compassion is heartwarming.
ITA…..We as humans can learn a lot from them!!!
The humming beings can learn a lot from these amazing elephants ...
They're all so beautiful and special.
I'm so proud of Klaserie ❤
Klaserie is a serious protector today! Thank you sweet girl❣️
Fascinating to see these interactions🥰
I'm laughing at the beginning where Tokwe and Limpopo are with her. Trunk up, mouth open "hey where's MY bottle? I'm waiting for it" 😁
Haha same 🐘💦
Tokwe will need one massive bottle ☺️😅
I think Tokwe wanted a sip!
Yes, they looked like they wanted one too!
🍼 🐘🐘🐘 too too cute.🤗
Let’s all be more elephant.
Bond, protection, care, play & huge love: endearing 💝🐘
the love and protection for little Khanysa by the herd is amazing! Ele's are super Intelligent always watch out for each other. So precious!
I love watching the working together of these elephants. They have developed a society of care givers that is so interesting to see. Such love and devotion.
Ahhhhhh, so much love and affection between them....
So awesome.. 🐘🐘💚💙💚💚
Theyre all so human.
Truly love the video today thank you so much for sharing it with all of us.
I know I have said this many times before but I feel it's worth it.
Thank you all for being so dedicated to all your beautiful animals your extended family.
When I'm having a bad day I think about your beautiful animals and the love and respect they give each other. It gives me hope.
Thank you.
This is such a beautiful message. Thank you for sharing and caring 💖🐘
Well said 👏👏👏
Yes ma"am total agreement😊❤👌👍🐘🐘🦣🦣🦣🙏
OMGOSH, Timisa’s wide play stance with her back legs at 2:35. 😀
💗 everyone of these precious elephants 💗
Wow…as huge as elephants are they manage to be so careful and agile. I was holding my breath when they were watching out for sweet Khanyisa. Stepping so close and over her but knowing exactly what they were doing.🥰
Elephants are absolutely the most amazing and beautiful animals on the planet!💖💖
Thank you for another heart warming video for us to enjoy!☺️😍
Tokwe wanted a sip too. ♥️🐘🍼
Their awareness of each other is amazing. They connect far better than humans do. By a huge margin.
I can't compare between species; we're all so different. But their mellow concern and readiness for joy are definitely things I'd like to see more of in our own specie. 💙🤗🌍
Khanyisa building up all steps to become, one day, the leader! She deserves it! She is my bet!
She fits in so beautifully with the herd!!!💕
It was so nice to see Meisiekind interacting with Klaserie and Pisa. And Setombe and Kumbura were nowhere in sight. I noted that Pisa wasn't the slightest bit jealous of Khanyisa's playtime with Timisa. I see that they are all united with and for each other. And Khanyisa shows no qualms about approaching any one of them, which I feel will bode well for her transition to the Homestead. This is one grand HERD and the love shows. Thank you Godknows for this video. Nice weekend to all!
Khanyisa is the cutest little girl!
I love these! Khanyisa hasn't a worry in the world, and she knows it. It was good to see Pisa, as we don't see much of her.Thank you all so much for sharing these precious elephants with us!
khaniysa is a bundle of cuteness overload of course they all check on her its not just love shes just irresistibly cute
i remember when she was smaller and while she walked beside them sometimes she would pretend to trip and fall so she could get all the attention ahahahhah what a cutie just like our own small children do as well, what amazing beautiful people they are always protecting each other we could learn so much from them especially family values, she loves being surrounded by long legs and trunks and rumbles she loves her family Jabulani HERD
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
She is just rediculously cute
Khanysia looks so tiny ..love her so much
If Kumbura were there, she would definitely be right next to Khanyisa. Kumbura takes her responsibilities as an allo mother very seriously. I'm remembering that one very rainy day when both Timisa and Khanyisa were caught in that horrible water filled ditch whilst playing and Kumbura was all over them and very concerned when they had trouble getting out. She was so protective and caring giving them guidance and direction. Quite the event.
I remember that video, was so hard to watch. She was so distressed the poor sweetheart 🐘❤🏴
@@Elizabeth-iw3wd I also remember that video. It was quite scary. But happy ending.
She is a gutsy little gal
Khanyisa could have easily died in a snare trap.
But instead, she was rescued by people that love Elephants.
She was brought to Adine and THE HERD managment team.
Now we watch her play with her adopted family.
I don't trust a lot of charities.
I have never wanted to give my money away because I fear that it is just another scam.
But this is definitely a charitable organization that I feel confident in giving my hard earned money.
Thank you Adine.
Give Khanyisa a kiss for me.
What amazing words. We’re so appreciative of your messages and your love for the herd! Thank you for your generosity of spirit 🌟

You're welcome.
I was just thinking the same thing. So much love and caring. So much togetherness. And thank you for the reminder. 💜
Piango e sono felice di vedere gli elefanti ma anche di sapere che faccio parte di un gruppo di perdono sensibili
So special to watch this. Klaserie went straight over when khanyisa layer down, klaserie seems hypervigilante spreading her ears out
and listening for danger. Then all of them protecting the toddler khanyisa. Simy beautiful 😍 🤩
Tokwe with her open mouth and uplifted trunk is doing the elephant version of a human unconsciously making the mouth movements while spoon-feeding a baby. So cute and funny!🤣
It was funny and fascinating simultaneously. I could watch these for hours
💜😻💜
Sweetest family ever! ❤️👍🏻
Elephants really have the "It takes a village ( in this case a Herd) to raise a child ( or a calf) " down pat. Beautiful to see.
I never would have thought that I could get so much pleasure from watching these videos of the HERD. These videos have given me a new appreciation for Elephants and their intelligence and sense of family!! Absolutely amazing to watch them interacting.
Amazing ❤❤❤ family. Elephants are so intelligent
Their sense of protection for their young is incredible!
So sweet!❤️ I love seeing K and Timi play. The herd is so wonderful how they interact and commune.
Khanysia enjoys drinking her own milk bottles.it is always nice to see the beautiful African elephant herb together like a big elephant family.❤️❤️❤️❤️🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘
This video is full of beautiful interactions. Khanyisa her little body, trunk, tusks spring then taking a rest,
sitting up and rolling over, so sweet. A!ways getting the protection even though she layer down on their
lunch of leaves. Tolerance abounds.
So lovely to see Khanyisa and Timisa playing together ❤️ 😍 great mates. The adult elephants certainly take good care of the young ones. Beautiful to see 👀 😍
Oh this baby girl 💖💖💖
This video should be sent to all the worlds leaders. Maybe they would learn something.
Khanyisa never fails to tickle me... Today, it was her nap-time challenge -- too funny! I think we can all relate.
Their awareness, responsiveness to each other + their environment never ceases to amaze me...Amazing!
Great footage! TY 👍💞🐘🐘🐘💞
Im remembering Khanyisa needing lots of sleep in the nursery so I expect it will carry over for years as she grows. 🐘💗🙏
That is the perfect sand mound!
This video cracks me up with Tokwe ready for her treat too! Adorable, they just know they can depend on one another, how special is that? Helllllooooo? Shouldn’t we all be feeling that sort of security with family?!😘👍
As much as I love hearing them rumble and trumpet, watching them interact with their trunks is amazing.
I, too, relish their herd sounds. I'm a long way from knowing what they all mean. Thanks to the texts explaining their different posturing, I'm getting the hang of these ellies. 💙🤗🌍
I love watching Khanyisa when she's lying down, she's so fidgety! Those little legs occasionally go up in the air or push on whoever happens to be standing by 😆 Klaserie is such a good girl standing over her for protection 🥰❤🙏🐘
This brings such joy! Thank you!
Tokwe wants milk. Can she have some? She waits so patiently with her mouth open! Too cute!🤣😄💥💙💕🙏😁👍😎❗️
It's amazing how Klaserie doesn't step on the baby, they must have eyes in their legs. Cheers Rosemary Perth Western Australia (72 yrs)
So amazing to watch the love and protection they have for Khanysa! She's so lucky to have been found. She was an infant, traumatized and injured. But she was strong and had the will to survive and recover! Thank you Adine Dr's and Carers!
They have so much to teach us. It's just beautiful watching these magnificent animals interact and love each other how we all should 💖❤️🇨🇦
Klaserie is such a wonderful allomother.
They are impressive creatures
"Timisa engages in a peculiar leg stretch" 🤣 Who said pilates was just a human contortion! ❤🐘
Wouldn't it be Awesome to have a Protector standing over You... While you Rest.... 💫🌟😎🐘😎🌟💫
At the end of the day everyone is loving 🥰 on Khanyisa. 🤗😘💖
I'm new to this page.. but I cannot stop watching these videos!!! I love watching these beauties! Khanyisa is a little ham!!! They are all so loving and protective.
We are so lucky that you share these moments with us. Thank you.
I always love to see Khanyisa and Timisa playing together what Joy ❤️ but also to see how the herd protecting Khanyisa against predators but issen't that what the Elephants do protect the litle ones

Beautiful Ellie’s very nice family God Bless
Beautiful photography thank you 🕊🇺🇲💕
😄🐘🐘🐘🐘🐘
Poor Khanysia, can't take a nap around the family. I love The Herd and the way they all pitch in to make sure everyone is safe!!!
This always make my day when the two young one's get together especial when baby k want to play love all my precious Ellie's.
I so recognize this Khanyisa. So very “toddler.” It is a constant reminder to me that for every difference between us there are many commonalities. What a delightful way to start the morning. ❤️
Nice comment. I agree.
It is just so endearing to see the interplay between these magnificent creatures! But I don’t think little miss Sunshine had enough rest, she was such a klein kriewelgat, not lying still for a moment!😍🥰😂
Aw someone wanted a drink of milk 😔 what a shame.
Their protection especially of Khanyisa makes me emotional. Love every one of them 🤗🏴
haha! the leg stretch is funny!
Feisty pink baby / the bond they have all is amazing and adorable ♥
Zindoga has grown into a beautiful young bull. Strong and caring. This is a wonderful herd xxx ❣
Like his Mum.
They are such magnificent beautiful and loving creatures!!❤❤❤❤
Awwh he wants some so cute
Какие умные дети природы Спасибо Вам за заботу о них
Khanyisa is like a toddler fighting sleep….lol. 🥰😀🐘❤️
Sometimes you want a nap while there are other things on your mind. That’s why it’s sometimes hard to get a human toddler down for a nap. Khanyisa is tired but knows she’s missing out on a lot of fun things to do. She started with bad luck and now has the best luck. Lucky, lucky little elephant. She has found safety and love. 🐘
Amazing video and how they are careful not to step on her just making sure she is protected from predators. truly a beautiful sight:)
Ok the big baby wanting a bottle at the very beginning is adorable!
Khanyisa is such a wiggle worm, she just about wallowed everywhere! I think our girl likes the attention when she 'falls down' 😆💕 watching her little legs was hilarious, just like a human...just trying to watch a little TV and next thing you know the prodding toes of a 2 year old finds their way into your nostrils.
It is such a wonderful sight, the herd taking care of Khanyisa, if humans were more like out ellie family here, maybe the world would be a safer place😊
Nossa como a minha bebê cresceu ... Já é uma bebê de respeito ...
I really enjoy watching your herd! They are so intelligent and caring! Such a beautiful sight!
The trunk on the head as though to encourage Khanyisa to drink it all down to the last drop. And then...baby K is trying to take a nap and they are waking her up to make sure she's okay...humans would be like shhhh, let her sleep. Haha. I love them so much.
So cute!
Piss just misses being baby. It was her, bossing around Tamisa for a few years and now, Tamisa is busy.
Klaserie and Setombe don't hang with the mom-club (Lundi-Tokwe-Bubi), but Klaserie has always been super fond of Khanyisa. She's like the autie that seldom visits but then can't get enough of the baby.
Will come one day to see the African elephant
Pisa and Klaserie remind me so much of becoming tweens and do not have patience for baby games but still love their sisters. 🐘🐘🐘🐘
Lovely clip Thank you ☺️
Beautiful sight indeed🥰
If only humans could be like elephants! ❤❤❤
Give Tokwe a taste!
🤩wow Khanyisa kann Flasche Milch 🍼perfekt super toll 🐾🐾🐘🐘❤ ❤💝💖😇
Little Miss Everything Khanyisa certainly knows her own mind. " head strong " and tuff enough.
It seems like Zindogo might grow up to be a good head Bull 🐘 like Jabulani due to his early protective nature & Klaserie with make an excellent Mother/Allo Mother due to her early protective nature. I suspect that Klaserie is getting out of her young days & is starting to move into adulthood very seamlessly thanks to having excellent teachers like Tokwe, Kumbura, Lundi & the other allo mommies! There are so many great mommy teachers in this Herd! What a blessing & let's not forget the allo Father Jabulani as a stellar example as well! Khanyisa & now Lil Phabeni 🐘 sure are blessed by this Jabulani Herd!
Thank you for such enjoyable videos. I look every morning to see if there is something new. 🇺🇸🌴🌺💕
Peace and love to the herd and the caregivers ❤❤❤😊
