  • Welcome to this postpartum meditation and motherhood meditation - for literally any stage of your motherhood journey ;) In motherhood, we can experience stress, anxiety and feelings of overwhelm because we have a lot of responsibilities to juggle. I believe that we, as mothers, carry the heaviest emotional load. During my postpartum, I was lucky to be told about the vagus nerve. This nerve is responsible for managing stress and mental health. When the vagus nerve is soothed, we feel calmer, more grounded, more able to manage stress & find it easier to deal with our busy lives. In this motherhood meditation, I will teach you a breathwork practice that soothes your nervous system and your vagus nerve. It is a simple practice of breathing in through the nose for a count of 4, holding the breath for a count of 7 then breathing out through the mouth for a count of 8 whilst making a 'shuhhhh' sound like ocean waves. If you are struggling with motherhood stress, postpartum anxiety or any kind of motherhood anxiety, please listen to this meditation for mothers and do this breathing practice. I do it nearly every day and have done for many years. I hope you find it helpful and wishing you a calm and positive day ahead!     Hi anja thank you for this beautiful meditation . I'm currently 13 weeks pregnant and having severe anxiety . This is helping me a lot. I know I will be fine and won't be giving up on myself.
