Thanks so much for naming single parents as well. I'm in the process of becoming a singlemombychoice. And a lot of videos online are catered to couples.
First time mom here. I’m 33 weeks and 5 days. I just came across your RUclips today💕. And I already want to say thank you for sharing your knowledge and information with us. Been having some anxiety but your videos have been very helpful! And reassuring! Thank you!
I had my son back in August and was SO nervous about everything lol, just dont be too hard on yourself, you're gonna do great mama!
Great tips, thanks for sharing!
After having my first babe 6.5 months ago my biggest advice for new moms is to read books during pregnancy! BabyWise has hands down been the most valuable book for me for getting my babe to become an independent sleeper. She starting sleeping through the night consistently at 7 weeks old and I literally haven’t gotten up for her in the middle of the night since! She sleeps 7pm-7am. So many moms and dads have gone before us and shared their knowledge and experience...soak it up and apply it! 👏🏼
Such helpful information 😌! I’m a doula and momma of 3 and I make motherhood content as well. These are definitely things that every new parent needs to know. Been watching Sarah for years and she helped me have 2 epidural free VBAC births 🙌🏿! Thanks for sharing ❤️❤️❤️!
Had my baby on the 17th and this couldn't have come at a better time !!! Thank you ❤️
I had my baby on the 17th as well 🥰 good luck to both of us lol
@@emeraldcollier178 aww birthday buds ! Ikr we've got our work cut out for us ! Congratulations x
what did you have?
I had mine in the 17th too… I need sleep lol
@@brandi92y hey Mama , you've got this !! 💕 Hopefully I'll come back and wish all the baby's a happy birthday next year ? 😅
I need this now 😂
Congratulations 🎈🍾 🎈🎈
Love your content! And SO happy there is so much relevant content for mamas - I really enjoyed your videos when I was pregnant and am thrilled to be able to continue watching you postpartum! Thanks, Sarah! ❤️
Love those tips! Especially the one about passing baby to the partner or someone else once baby has been fed at night, so the woman doesn’t have to do the whole routine on her own. One of my clients said they were doing this at night with her husband and it worked like a charm (although he was not working during the day so it helped...!). Do you have any specific tool or tip for moms who have trouble falling asleep during the day for short naps? Meditation files or anything else you can think of? Thank you!!
The way I got my sleep was cosleeping. I dont recommend it for people that arent light sleepers but gawd is it a game changer. My baby would wake up, get on the boob go back to sleep. I would adjust with ease and barely woke up. For a safer thing you could use a bassinet and get a gate that blocks the baby from rolling into the bed. DO NOT SHARE YOUR BED WITH ANYONE ELSE IF YOU COSLEEP. I would never ever ever recommend it and darn sure not your wild sleeping toddler. Bahaha
Perfect timing. I have a 2 week old son. Thank you! ❤️
Love your videos unfortunately I haven't gotten to bring my babies home right away. My first child was in the NICU for 24 days and my second was in the NICU for 12 days. Right after that they woke up once during the night then by 2 and a half to 3 months sleeping through the night. One was 10lb 6oz and the other was 11lb 9oz so they really didn't need a bottle during the night and never lost weight.
This is so good!!
Found this channel when I found out that I was pregnant. This is such a helpful channel with useful information for the 'non super' parents
You're the best. You make me feel like I can do this!!
I’d pay a huge money for even 2 hours of someone I can trust to hold my baby so I can sleep (my husband was exhausted too so I was scared he’ll drop her). But... it was at the beginning of pandemic so couldn’t hire anyone. We also have no family around. It was the hardest and the most beautiful time of my life though
Can you please do a whole video on pregnancy and diabetes??? 🖤
I have 2!
How do you feel about vitamin b12 shots Sarah? They’ve been helping me lately!
Can you do a video of thing you would need to pack in a baby bag?
She has a video of essentials for hospital bag and she includes a section for baby if that's what you meant. I don't think she has one for diaper bags though.
What are your tips for surviving the newborn stage for someone with zero support people to ask for help? Just mom and baby.
That sounds awful 😞
I’m 1 month PP with my EBF son and he WILL NOT let me put him down to sleep. He will eat and fall asleep on the boob and stay asleep while on me- and then we put him in his bassinet or crib and he’s wide awake again fussing for more food! Could this be a growth spurt or just a picky baby? I’m a zombie!!!
What about for homemakers who have no one to call on? I feel so bad for my wife that she doesn't get enough sleep unless I miss work...
It’s definitely tough in the beginning when babe is still so young, but my best advice for her is to sleep when the baby sleeps. Seriously, it’ll make a world of a difference 🙌🏿! This is coming from a solo momma of 3.
@@ShadesofSage I've tried to talk that angle but it doesn't seem to help. She feels she needs to keep cleaning the house or she'll fall behind.
@@cbizkit84s61 Aww, yeah I understand. Maybe try to gently explain to her that her rest is important so she can be her best for baby. And maybe she can do light housework while the baby is awake, and you can help out after work that’d be awesome👏🏿!
@@ShadesofSage I will take this approach. Thank you.
If she has a baby carrier (I used moby) it helps to do the housework while babe is awake 😊
Super helpful, i have a 3 week old that i am exclusively breastfeeding and he definitely uses me as a pacifier lol so after a feeding, if he's asleep in my arms and i put him down, it wakes him up and he gets fussy or cries immediately. I'm trying to use pacifiers but hes so picky and gets upset when you try to give him one, he knows the difference lol I'm hoping it gets better soon
Hi mama, mine is 3 weeks old too and he definitely uses me as a pacifier too. I've found that if I leave him to sleep for 10 mins he transitions into a deeper level of sleep before I move him. So when I lay him to sleep, he doesn't wake up.
@@1432amer thats awesome! I've actually just started to realize that too but I'm still trying to figure it out and don't get it right every time yet. I try to watch his little eyes to check if hes truly asleep or not but it can be hard to tell at times. I'll try timing it to wait 10 minutes and see if that helps!
