Great video, I really liked it. When you talked about the ability to improve the utilisations of oxygen, is this related to the shifting of the lactate threshold to a higher tolerance level?
Rest until you’re breathing is back to normal. It builds mitrochondria in the fast twitch muscle fibres. It’s called repeat training btw, it’s a better way of improving anaerobic fitness without polluting the cells with lactic acid.
@Jin Ho Choi You should NEVER do max effort on an incline sprint. Even in strength training you never do your 1 rep max in training. The purpose of incline is to reduce injury risk by providing intense exercise that puts strain on muscles and forces near max heart rate when only needing to run at 60-80% max effort. 100 percent does not lrovide better results and you are bound to get injured training like that 3 days a week.
I do mine with a HR monitor. Intervals between 70-95% HRMax. F&*king hard work, 10x intervals after a good warm-up once a week

Thanks for the info very informative
How many intervals would be expected per session?
The Army used to do no more than 20 minutes. If done properly, you would/should be gassed out.
During a session, how many sets of the sprint intervals would you typically do?
Depends on how many rounds you are gonna go. If you are gonna go 3 rounds, Do 4. If its 7 rounds then 8 etc.
So no warm up? Just go from resting hr to this?
During a session how many sets do you do during a sprint interval, and how many sessions during the week?
4-6 sets and 2-4 sessions per week
How many weeks can you do this type of intervals for ? Is it a yearly routine which you try to increase fitness levels
So is this session 30 second sprint x 4 -6, with 3 mins recovery between each 30 sec sprint? It's not made clear enough.
@@fighterscorner6787 they recommend 6-9 sessions at the start of camp, over 2 - 3 week then a different set of hiit intervals
Andrew Potts thank you matey for your reply
I might have missed this, but what is the rest period between sets? Thanks
00:30 Work
02:00 Recovery
4-6 Sets
2-4 Times a week
3 minutes recovery not 2
30 seconds sprinting - 2 mins recovery
3min recovery
How long do they rest in between sprints ?

How many yards would I run for the 30seconds? 100?
Caleb Huang you just do what you do in the time period just run flat out for 30secs full speed hard as you can normally on a motorless treadmill
So would these training sessions generally take place just once per week or more?
Damn I’m only on 19km/hr….lol bruh….
i feel sorry for Tommy lol
Rest breaks way too long. For basketball we did 20 40s on treadmills. 20 second sprint, 40 sec rest. 5 warmup sets 10 working sets. 3 days a week.

@Jin Ho Choi You need to do more research.
