Well done you. My first solo foreign trip was also Iceland 🇮🇸 at the age of 52. It’s great travelling with my lady or friends and family but being alone is a different experience and one I enjoyed very much. I return to Iceland tomorrow for the 5th time. As excited as the first time and I really do love this country.
Hey there. Iceland is looking good for a solo traveler. May I ask you how long did you stay? Did you find it as expensive as I have heard a lot of people say? I go solo to Vegas 3 or 4 times a year. Is it quite a lot more expensive than a Vegas trip? ...not the flight but the food etc. I was thinking about just staying in Reykjavik Iceland for 3 days.

Doing anything alone had been difficult for me up until this year. I didn’t love myself the way I needed too. I’m now planning a trip overseas alone and seeing this video and how happy you are doing it is emotional and beautiful. I never understood how someone could be so happy alone and now that I get it, I yearn for so much more. This was such a beautiful video. Thank you!

What you discover from the first moment is YOU WILL NOT BE ALONE- even if you want to! @@phila3884 I did. I ended up going to Iceland and staying at kex hostel. The best thing I’ve ever done in my entire life and it gave me so many amazing memories. You’re not wrong about being alone. Never alone if you don’t wanna be. I went this past December.
I leave for Iceland today on my first solo trip. I was a bit nervous about traveling by myself. After watching your video it made me believe in myself. I'm excited to see the beautiful landscapes of Iceland.

Great video, beautifuly done :) Just a note - You have drone shots from many places where drones are actually not allowed (and signs show that), like Jokulsarlon. I'd try to avoid that, this is the reason drone restrictions are getting more and more common.

So glad you loved the solo travel experience so much! I started doing the same when I was 55 and have been doing it ever since! Wouldn’t travel any other way now! Heading to Iceland in 58 days so am so excited and so loved your little video! I hope you get to do more solo trips! Happy travels!

I just went to Iceland the end of September 2022 my son got married there it was a first out of country experience for all of us I get anxiety about traveling too many worries but I knew I was not missing my son‘s biggest day of his life so I worked on myself totally had no anxiety felt so free such a beautiful country great people absolutely no panic attacks about flying such a beautiful wedding that was totally a once in a lifetime experience and we did meet a few people that were traveling solo it’s totally amazing to me after I seen your video now I understand why people do itI have to say if it wasn’t for my daughter being the navigator on our trip I would still be stuck in Minneapolis airport😂🤣🤣😂 and I wish you safe and great travels in the future🙂

been thinking about whether to get a driver's license. just cause ill never use it in where i live (owning a car is pretty much a liability where I live) but when I think about traveling to countries like Iceland. hahaha, I feel like ill have no choice. i mean i do but cars make it convenient

I would like to go on a trip to iceland during this summer.I don't have a license to drive.Planning to spend 3-4 weeks in iceland .Could you please let me know if it would be possible to completely tour iceland by using public transport and on foot.Did anyone does it .Any updates on the public transport.Planning to stay in hostels/airbnb.Please do share some views.

What camera did you take? I'm going in a couple of months and I'm taking the GoPro 7 hero black and my smartphone (+ tripods and selfie stick).. You think that would be sufficient? Also, i'm not a photographer. I am that guy who stops everywhere and takes a million photos without really seeing the place.
