So happy for this video, i have the same model cooker and oven but tried baking several and came out always burnt. I'll try this out. I've been waiting for this video. Thanks a million!
Must one cover that rod after lightning the oven? Because I want to use the tray for baking groundnut, can I leave the fire like that without covering it?
But it's not quite effective for grilling. It needs to have an upper heating rod too for that. I tried it before and it took forever and didn't really "grill" the meat.
This is exactly thesame model with mine but each time i switch it on,gas will start coming out from the rod instead. Please am i to light the rod,im confused??
Preheating yoir oven takes 15-20 minutes. And covering your pan is so that the vapor from the water bath doesn't settle in your cake which can make it go bad quickly. If you don't mind that moistness/will consume the cake immediately, you might skip that.
Please I have this kind gas but the heating rod is bringing out gas when putting it on for preheating. Does the rod need to be covered? If yes with what?
Yes, it will emit gas because you need to light it up. And yes, you should cover it with the tray covering. For better clarity, please check my more recent video on this.
Yes, the covering is for fire safety. Doing a water bath depends on what you're Baking. You'll need it for Cakes, breads... But not necessarily for bakes like cookies.
@@judyjaoko3397 just keep raising in mind when you put your dough/batter in your pan, because it will double. Also, remember to grease the cover of your pan too
The base inside the oven can be lifted, exposing a lighting rod. Use a lighter or match stick to light it up after turning the knob on the outside top of the oven.
Yes. It is safety. You don't necessarily need a water bath for 'dry' bakes like cookies. But for more delicate bakes like breads and cakes, it comes in handy

When u put ur cake how many minutes did u leave it to bake
About 30-40 minutes.
This is exactly thesame model with mine but each time i switch it on,gas will start coming out from the rod instead.
Please am i to light the rod,im confused??
Yes... You have the light the rod yourself.
Please check my more recent video on this for better clarity.
Mine has both up and down heating panels, do I have to on the up heating panel too?
Not for baking, you don't need to. For grilling perhaps
Can i also use the water bath technique to grill fish?
No, no. You don't need to.
Thank you❤

Thanks for the explanation, have left my gas oven abandoned. I think I can easily use it now. M na civir.

Absolutely
Please ma how many minutes will I heat my oven before baking and must I cover my cake with foil before baking it

What should i do with the water bath ?
After it's work in the oven, you don't need it.
So that's y my cakes take too long then, because i thought highest heat is number 4. ThaNk you for this information, will try again
Perhaps. I don't know about the model you use, but 1 is the highest in mine. You're welcome, though. And good luck 👍

Does it use an automatic ignition?
No, it doesn't.
Please does the oven also uses gas?? Or is it only the burners?
Hi.
Yes, the oven uses gas. Same as the burners
Please the water,vis it compulsory?
Not really. It's just a trick to regulate the temperature in the oven and keep your pastries from burning before cooking through.
Did you off the the fire before baking or the fire was still on till you finished the baking
It was in till I finished baking. It has to be.
so how do you brown your bread top part
The heat from the cover of my bread pan did that.
I will try that hope it will affect the raising in cakes and bread

You're welcome
Thank you so much but please I didn't see you lighting it
You're welcome. I think I did.

Pls explain better on how to light it

Thanks
Pls having removed the base to expose the rod and after lightning it with matches can we still cover it back with the base pan?@@DooshimaDanladi
@@rolandwisdom957 ye s, please. You have to replace it. The round holes on it will conduct the heat round the oven, no need to leave it open.
