Your Nanaimo bars turned out perfectly! 😁 We don't eat much custard in Canada, unlike the UK and Australia, so pretty sure the grocery store here only carries the powder because ppl make these bars 😆
American here, we used to travel to British Columbia often and these are a delicious treat! I now live in Michigan and can't find custard powder (except at crazy online prices or a run across the border) so I think instant vanilla pudding will work. Open to other suggestions!
Omg yummmmmmm! Ohhhh..... I have to go check out the new website 🎉👐🎉👐! New kitcken is already almost done.... I cannot wait to see how magical it is! I know it is going to be the dream kitchen of sooooo many - ME being one of them of course lol. I cant wait to try and make these. Xoxo always
Heyyy Nick!! I was thinking about doing a play on this delicious dessert of yours & Im wondering if you think the center would work for a custard filling for macarons. I was thinking about filling with the custard then coating them in chocolate and adding some almonds. What do you think ? I would love your input !! (I only have a fb & yt account) Excited for you going to pick out cabinets!! Cant wait to see the new kitchen, Im just catching up on all your videos !! :)
Stop stop stop using American ingredients wording.....we don't have heavy cream or powered sugar in Australia....your so annoying why why do you do this......call the ingredients what it is called in AUSTRALIA.... What is heavy cream and powered sugar called in Australia thickened cream and icing sugar....stop stop doing this
I can hear it's really irritating you. In New Zealand, it's not even thickened cream, it's just...cream. But my guess is the bulk of Nick's audience is in North America, so why shouldn't he use terms that make sense to them? We could try asking him politely to use both American and Australasian terminology but really, what's the big deal?
What’s your issue Denice?? If you don’t have anything nice to say how about you just say nothing at all. Everyone would be better off if you just kept your irrelevant and rude opinions to yourself. Have a good day, Denice. 🙂
WHOA SOMEONES MAD Ok but question:what is heavy cream? Like is it basically double cream. I bought extra thick double cream bc I thought that would be the closest to heavy cream
@@ar1j I think it's whatever cream you'd use if you wanted whipped cream. Like I say, where I'm from that's just sold as "cream" but I understand it goes by different names in different places. I'd be looking for something with high fat content and ideally no additives like stabilisers or milk solids. Best of luck!! .
Nanaimo bars are my families favourite treat around Christmas. Mint Nanaimo bars are also delicious!

Thanks for the post Mr. Nick , I have already printed the scrumptious recipe for my mom's recipe collection. God bless medical student Malaysia.🙏😋

I've found a 10 oz container of custard powder on Amazon for $6 USD. Birds brand. Not sure if it's a good one but pretty affordable to give it a try
Dude! I'm so happy you did these! Thank you!
Coming from the UK I have never heard of these before but they look really good. Looking forward to trying them.💗
They're an ultra Canadian treat, though known for being very rich in taste :) Nanaimo is a city on Vancouver Island in the West Coast.
Thanks for the explanation. I will be giving them a try soon.💗
Oh wow those look amazing!!
Thank you for makibg a no-bake recipe! I can't wait to make some.

Hello there how can I substitute egg in the base ?
Hello, that's too bad you don't put the recipe in the description box. It is so much easier that way, with the video just above :(
面白い
When I first heard about these I thought they're Japanese.🙈
U SHOULD DO A COOKBOOK
He has done. It's beautiful.
I miss Peggy! Will she get a spotlight again soon?
It's pronounced more like "Nan eye mo" than "Nan ay mo" just for anyone coming across these for the first time :)
That base really should be cooked.
Did he put the coconut in it or am I just blind? I hope he did...that’s how you make Nanaimo bars haha
Lol, yes he did, don't worry.
Yep! I did :)
@@thescranline haha I’m totally blind, I rewatched!! Love your videos btw!!
Na-Nay-Mo bars?? 😂
