    No!! Nanaimos are super underrated. I dont see them as much anywhere here in Ontario!! They always shoot for the brownie instead. This Canadian gem of a recipe makes you feel like holiday even without occasion, and home even when afar!!

    Is it fine to use whipped cream instead of heavy cream?

      You can use whipping cream, but you have to beat it together with the butter, custard powder and icing sugar to create the custard layer.

    In the video, the second and third layers were too small and you had to cut some off the base. The written recipe seems to be the same. Was your dish larger than 8x8"? Should we then reduce the base layer?
