I actually started playing gt online from watching your videos the other day and got my ranking from E to B in like 2 days, sadly I’m only on controller. I got my irl w2w license in November and honestly playing this game online can somewhat help you form w2w awareness techniques, just wish real life had the radar feature 🤣

Same for me. I just got the game two weeks ago. I ran my first races today in this race. I placed 12th, on my first race, 8th, and 7th on my third try. I'm a certified scrub, but I didn't punt anyone into the shadow realm.

Just use the mirrors irl, it's almost like the radar 😂 some cars do have sensors/cameras though, it's very useful
Did anyone else notice 12th and 13th finished only a thousandth of a second apart? Bummer Steve didn't notice that to see the replay. Seemed like a tight finish!
At 17:52, watch their position flicker back and forth before the finish. I would have loved to watch this race!

No it's the irl concept car for the supra essentially what the supra was originally going to look like ft-1 body kit's exist for the mark v
They did make the v12 that killed it in multiple race categories.
I ran this race 4 times with finishes of 2nd, 2nd, 2nd and 6th. Those 3 2nd places finishes were actually in the AMG Chungus! The Mercedes is actually really good BoPwise! The 6th place was in that Supra! The winners of those races were actually a Porsche, a BMW, a Brazilian BMW who sent people to the shadow realm, and then a dirty Canadian RS01 who wrecked half the field to win.

Thats why I have a contract with mercedes I also chose them because despite the AMG chungus being heavy on the turns it more than makes up for it on the straights.

The punting this week has been out of control. I’m not usually one to report, but I’ve been used as a brake into the hairpins far to many times.
Oh man, this channel is amazing! I used to upload some Gran Turismo 4 videos back in the day... then i started playing Call of Duty and my channel started getting some attention, so i quit playing other games. The new CODs are so trash i got back to playing Gran Turismo again. I bought GT Sport and increased my GT collection. GT1, GT2, GT3, GT Tokyo Geneva, GT4, GT5 Prologue and now GTSport. It feels good to be back! thank you.

Let's face it, in terms of real world engineering, the Toyota FT-1 is basically a Supra in a big hat and baggy coat, nonchalantly whistling while looking the other way.
The ft-1 is literally the concept version of the supra it was what Toyota originally revealed when they announced the supras return since it's a concept car only 1 actually exists but there are plenty of body kits to make a retail mark v look like the ft-1

I don't know why but I am addicted to your videos. I just got into sim racing about 2 years and a few months ago. Enjoy a few titles, but mainly play rally games, and upgraded my set up three times. But I have never been interested in GT, because mainly I am a PC player. However, I love the fun you have, and passion. So much so, that I am trying to a hold of a PS4 just to play GT 7 when it comes out. I just want to show my appreciation for your content, and the love you share for sim-racing, and motorsport in general. Never change who you are and why you do it. Thanks again.

The ft1 is so much nicer looking. Even the regular concept. Wish they could've kept that exact design for the production model
Late reply, but I really like both so I think it would've been nice to have the FT1 as the lfa successor and the mk5 supra for the supra successor. But having 2 cars that has similar looks would probably give it a reputation similar to honda and their copypaste approach to car manufacturing lol.
They couldn't use it bc the Z4 has a shorter wheelbase than the Supra concept.
Can we talk about the two guys in 12th and 13th exchanging their positions like 12 times in a half second at the end and finishing 0.001 between each other? That's amazing
if you guys want some good alternate cars to use this week, the m6, gtr, and mclaren (if u can handle mr oversteer and rear tyre wear) are all solid choices. the mustang can work too but it has the turn in of a double decker bus so you have to be really slow into corners to be quick around a lap

I used the FT-1 yesterday for this race, I was keeping up with the top 3 Supra racers in the first half of the race and I was sitting comfortably in 4th place, but when I switched to the medium tyres on the 7th lap I just couldn't keep up with them, and I finished the race about 10 seconds behind them in 5th place. The Supra seems to be superior on mediums for this track.
FT-1 is a very solid front engine car, but the Supra is just dumb lol
May have also been a case of Supra drivers using medium drivers on first stint.. Still, I have similar experiences with FT-1 on other tyres than softs, seems to struggle a bit.
After watching a few of your videos I've decided I have to update to the PS5 and get into the online racing. I've always enjoyed Grand Tourismo and think that this looks like awesome fun. Great videos, keep it up.

I have two 2nd places, 1 3rd and couple like 5th to 7th this week. Bmw m6 and dodge viper cars of choice. Bought this game back in 2017 but now 4 years later bought nice driving wheel and ps5 because of your videos. Loving this game and cant wait for gr7 soon
Its 12:48 AM, I'm stoned and have work in the morning, I have no idea why I watched the entire 22:33, however maybe it had to do with the fact I love how the cars sound or your soothing voice. Maybe a combination of both of them, either way I'm glad I was here at a random moment :p
Yesterday, I played this lobby and won driving the Lancer Evolution X Gr3 and the BMW Z4 GT3 against Supras and FT-1s

I nearly always start this race C from the back, it can get messy at times but some times I've came in at position 4 from 18th
and I consider myself an average driver

I'll always get more of a thrill chasing the meta cars in GT Sport than anything else.
A while back when GT Sport was still a bit new.. I raced on the Dragon's Tail with the Mazda 6 gt3 and it was a race between me, a guy with a citroën gt and a Beetle gt3. One of my favorite memories because it was a constant battle for first place and I managed to take the lead at the very end with the beetle being only .500th of a second behind. The guy with that French vehicle was quick but really sloppy around the chicane of death.
I beat the META Toyota in the FIA Nations race this past summer in a solid A lobby, in my Porsche RSR… I was pretty stoked, was only my second FIA win and went against the grain with the 911. Good video!
Enjoyed the replays at the end.
I love this track, the Aston Martin is my favourite around there, the WRX is fun too because it doesn’t seem to lose pace on worn tires
I played this track today 6 or 7 times. I love the racing on it if there is no one who sends you in the shadowroom. I started nearly all the time 10th and finished most if the time thirt or second. I started with the Supra but I had the feeling the AMG is faster in the race and it was actually faster. I can recommend it too you and at the last game I had the best battle over 3 laps for the win with the AMG against an Supra. Sadly I lost bei 0,070 seconds but it was so much fun. I really love the track for racing.

Same, this is my favourite track, majority of races have been really good battles all over. The close racing is the fun part so I never understand why people want to punt others off
Just to let you know, its shadow realm.
Love this race this week, although it would've been cool to have fuel taken into account. I notice the Beetle is really good around the chicane and it's easier to control through there. I don't like to drive the Supra for some reason. The FT-1 VGT is pretty OP if you go from mediums to softs on lap 4, given that you don't get stuck behind someone slow, but even then this strategy works very well. Gone from 7th to 1st in a couple races with that tactic. The tire wear is so good that the softs last to the end of the race.
Yeah I’ve been able to take the death chicane flat out in the Bug.
Indeed, that is the best strategy for the FT-1 since it is better on tyre wear. I don't like te Supre too, it's fast but feels like a blunt instrument. The FT-1 is more enjoyable to drive.

A great episode of The Adventures of the Shadow Realm. I really love the Anime Adaptation. This episode had some of the strongest points in the series, displaying moments of character development, great power scaling, great progression, and even betrayal. It wasn't quite as faithful to the manga, but it was still a worthy viewing.
The Aston V12 is pretty quick on the straights, I've had no issues flying past the supras.
@13:50 Sometimes, we just want to drive as fast as we can, but without fighting the flow... you know, fast--Not stressful. Fighting for places, stressful. You'll place 9th-5th based mainly on how well you maintain. You "fight" for the poles, and some nights I just want to vroom, bro.
I had similar results in the Porsche. Started 15th finished 7th thanks to the death chicane. I don't think I overtook but one person.

love your videos mate. only discovered them last week. Always loved GT but hated this 1 when it originally came out due to the ‘BS penalties’ and horrible suicide lunges to ruin your race. Gave it another go during lockdown and have slowly grown to enjoy it as the game only seems to have dropped the more suicide drivers. Im about 1.5 seconds slower than you at seaside, but need to learn to use manual gears and the stick to steer (im old school and tap the D pad and use x to accelerate and square to brake). Id love to get good enough to race you 1 day (currently B). Keep up the great vids.

One thing I hope that is changed in the future with Gran Turismo. Is the tire screeching around every corner that makes it sound like you're drifting.
You can lower tire screeching sound in settings
My rating has suffered on this track THIS WEEK because only this week this track seems a lot more slippery than other times I’ve raced it.
Coming down to the hairpin, oversteering is almost inevitable on exit, then understeering at the chicane the thing just won’t turn. You have to be brave through it. As soon as you straighten up on the kerb you flick it left, slight lift when you zag right and hopefully you live to fight another day.

On the pad I'm very competitive with the FT1, it might be a little slower but it's much more stable, less of the tail hanging out.

Traction and stability both off. TCS slows down your acceleration on corner exit. ABS I have on default which is the most convenient way to drive.
I am so inconsistent at that chicane it’s actually funny
These different cars are just the equivalent of setups in F1 games, youre loosing maybe 2 tenths on a straight to lacking topspeed but then almost rear end the car in front because you can brake so much alter and throw your car through the corner.

Honestly I just like using the Corvette on this track, it has good race pace when it comes to going against other people in battles but you gotta keep up. It's got a lot of power down the straight, and I almost always gain a position right from the beginning of the race, just because it's that fast. The only thing that's tricky is it's a bit heavy, but still pretty good around corners
