Offer a lesson with tabs and you'll be a hit as it appears one of the easier ragtime tunes as far as picking goes. . I would be interested but that's only one vote.
It's easier said than done but learn other finger picking songs, play a lot and eventually you'll be able pick apart songs like this and learn for yourself without the need of a tab/lesson. I've been fingerpickign for about 5 years now and can learn this just from this video
Great lesson.Everyone who know guitar basics can see and hear how it sounds.Other guys spend 30 minutes explaining hamering little finger on dminor. This is a real thing! Thanks!!!
Been working on this piece for a while and find your version the cleanest, tightest and best version on the web. You should hear yourself on half speed on RUclips👍
This is great! I’m a pianist who prefers the lower register of the piano, so guitar has never interested me much. But seeing an acoustic bass like this really makes me want to invest in one, I had no idea bass’s could be played like this, great stuff!
I'd love to know where a boy could buy a book of some of these tunes....not too tough to learn but good enough to be really enjoyable, as this tune it! Well done Lyrebird guitar!!!!
There's a book by Richard Saslow. I think it was called Rag Picking, but it should be easy enough to find. I was given it in the 70s and learned this tune and a few others besides. Highly recomended
Nice tune and nicely played . I didn' t know this tune so I 've taken my guitar and copied the whole song, adding the bass for the turnaround part at 48 s. Now i can add this tune to my repertoire. Thanks a lot. (by the way , i also subscribed to your channel )
Grea picking! Enjoy your playing and your style. New fan and new sub. Always like finding a fellow musician. 😎👍🤠🎹🎸🎶🎵👏🎼👌😁🎙😊 Enjoyed, like and full watch. Cheers, Bruce AKA Holden Beach Troubdour Keep doing what you love and share it with the world.
Well played! I learnt to play this many years ago together with the other great tunes in Saslow’s book. For anybody interested it’s available free….just do an internet search…👍🍷
Props to R Saslow for writing this piece and having it published with other ragtime instrumentals back in the early 80's. I had the book but alas no longer. Anyone know the title?
People take lesson upon lesson to learn this stuff. Hey, just watch this video closely , and then just play it. It'll take some practice, but if you are destined to be a true guitarist, you'll get it. Lyrebird, great picking and your guitar sounds excellent!
Did you cut the sound hole out like Tony rice?😜🤘🏻 looks large like that. I always do that to my acoustic guitars. They always ending up louder and sounding better
Thanks for the dropped D, how come everything sounds great in dropped D. You all know of course every Keith Richards riff is in open G, capo 4th Fret. Can play 'Tumblin Dice' in my sleep !.
Thanks Greg, glad you're enjoying my videos:) Tabs are great for quickly learning what notes to play...however listening to great players will reveal how to play those notes nicely 😊.
Terrific rendition; your tempo is perfect; where others play for speed, you play for soul.
Agreed!

Good for you! Yeah, I've never liked the bass turnaround, sounds out of place to me, so I left it out. Thanks for listening and subscribing.

6L6 sounds full and broad, warmer and clearer.
Saw this and read ‘southern rights’ safe to say i was pleasantly surprised it was not a song about a certain war for independence
Thanks for the dropped D, how come everything sounds great in dropped D. You all know of course every Keith Richards riff is in open G, capo 4th Fret. Can play 'Tumblin Dice' in my sleep !.
Dr. Corn's Bluegrass Remedy, "Flat pick Rag?" Does not anyone know this song? Do you?
Do you figure these by ear or do you find TABS for them? Verrrrrrry nice job.
