Thank you Preston. Being a Navy vet, it's rare to hear anyone say thank you anymore. There are too many personal reasons why vets become homeless. Home foreclosures, cheating spouses, lack of VA assistance... too many to name. Presidents have always claimed to help vets but in the end, it would only land all of us back on square one. All we've ever really wanted was for our country to love us the way we love her. That's it. Preston, you keep being awesome, keep making stellar react videos and most of all, keep the faith bro.

@@missmcque9756 A lot of us joined because it was our only way out of extreme poverty.
I'm a hick with brains; intelligent enough to spot bullshit, anyway. Not the type to get swayed by a recruiter's soft pitch. I knew exactly what I was getting into when I signed my contract.
My parents didn't have shit, and my HS gpa was, like, 2.0 or something because I was too busy, too tired, and too hungry to care about stupid homework. If I wanted to get any kind of higher education, the military was the ONLY way I could do it.
Fuck the propaganda, for me it was strictly a career choice.
I always felt like punching the middle class pretentious shits who claimed, "I joined so I could protect the flag and the country." They just wanted to shoot the big guns (and the really sick fuckers just wanted a legal way to kill a lot of people in as many bloody ways as possible) because it was cool.

Im so happy you reacted to this song! My personal favorite from 5fdp for that reason, our military deserves a hell of alot more then what they get, especially for what they sacrifice. I'm proud of every single one of our men and women who fight for the right reasons for our country, and damn it if I was president i would change that in a heart beat! And knowing this song is about the mental hell they gotta endure in battle, then after discharche, they dont get appreciated like they should, thats one of our biggest issues we need to address for our country to make it better.

Thank you for this reaction. As a veteran (Cold War USAF 1984-1987) a lot of people take it for granted what many of us sacrificed. Even non combat veterans have issues. My room mate shot his self to escape his problems a few years back. Miss my old buddy. I myself ran into issues just last year and have just now fought my way back to reality. If anyone would have crossed me in that state of mind we both would have been gone. PTSD is real and can catch you off guard when you least think it would. I try and help all my brothers-sisters in arms when needed. All branches. If no one has your back or six I will. Salute 07

New to reaction videos, I like your videos a lot.
As one of the homeless (houseless sense 2013) vets, this video just touches the wound. The real sh*t is even worse. I served from 1990 to 1998. Gulf war (Desert shield-desert storm) and 3 tours in Afghanistan .... I saw friends die right beside me. Eating a bullet is always on my mind everyday, but for the love of my family and friends and music like this .... I don't. MAD RESPECT FFDP for this video.
And total respect to you King KTF for watching and reacting to this video.

Gojira is a unique band, so not everyone is going to join them. However, they as a band have real talent. They're progressive as it gets, switching tempos and cadences multiple times in a song extremely smoothly. Try Flying Whales, you might like that one better.

@ Bryan Bellamy Thank you for your service. I too am a veteran, Army 24 yrs. I also have been deployed multiple times and i'm on the list to go again soon. I love what i do and would not change it at all. The problem with this system we have now is 3 fold. 1 st. Nobody pushes hard enough to get things changed. The public as a whole has to push back against politicians if they want to see change for our veterans. DEMAND change and tell your local, state, and federal Reps that if you will not do the will of the people then YOU ARE GONE and we will vote someone in that will do it. 2 nd. It is much cheaper to take the easy way out. Most Government officials want the cheapest solution. Yet they always vote themselves a raise but turn down a raise for the military and just give 1%-2% cost of living raise. REALLY. 3rd. The Veterans Administration is at times handcuffed by the funding that is allocated to them( a lot of the time), but in the same regard the head of Veterans affairs makes 200K a year as of 2011 and i'm sure that has gone up. Only the public can force change. Tell your local, state, and federal Reps that you DEMAND better treatment of YOUR nations Armed Forces!

Preston thank you. My son has been proudly serving this country for the last 6 years in the Air Force. He has been deployed in the Middle East 3 times and yeah he’s “highly decorated” and his ribbon wrack is almost longer than his chest...but their f***ing medals and awards WILL NEVER SAY “I LOVE YOU MOM” to me if he is killed!
Back to FFDP, if you go to their concerts before this song starts they ask ALL Active Duty and Vets of the Armed Forces to stand, then they ask the families of to stand. They brought an American flag onto the stage while performing this. I indeed bawled the whole way through. The numbers are much higher now than they were 6 years ago when this was released. But FFDP HASN’T STOPPED honoring our Service Members; check out “Gone Away”. Yes it’s a cover but they covered it for all the right reasons!
