So glad to hear from you during this festive and busy season! I think Cushy will love their Dale! One of the many things I enjoy from your casts is that you are so honest, straightforward, and sometimes sooo very witty--when you publicly change your mind about what you are REALLY going to do next (and what you are not). Thanks. for showing the Advents from Leslie! Because I began following her casts, I started following yours!
Happy holidays Rachel! I love that you got a Kallax, and the bags you recommended fit perfectly in them. Congrats on finishing your Sea Glass, it's stunning
Aww, thank you for the feature!! Looking forward to how you work Beholder up into a project! It's from my "Monster Manual" collection, and it's based on the D&D monster of the same name! They have a bunch of eyes that all do different things to you if you look into them 👀
If you are overwhelmed by the # of socks to be made, you could take 2 or 3 yarn balls and make striped socks. I finished my Holly sweater with 2 days to spare! Merry Christmas!
12:35 I would start the ribbing and if needed do 1 or 2 rows more of that if it ends up a bit too short. But that might be a too lazy solution for you 😬
Merry Christmas, Rachael! I enjoy your videos! A hat pattern that I knit a lot is the “Classic WWII Watch Cap”. It is truly a classic. It is still available in a roundabout way, but well worth the search. The description on Ravelry is quite entertaining, and everyone I’ve knit this for loves it, fits quite nicely.
Love your finished jumper and your in progress one! I live in Ireland, but will only be here from whenever my heart surgery is done and recovered from. I will also have to sell my house. Sure wish I was my hearty, healthy self I was just a couple of years ago. I'd travel to where your knit tour is for a day or two…❤
G’day Rachel, 🎄🎄🎄🎄🍒⭐️⭐️🍒🎄 MERRY CHRISTMAS to you and DJ ⭐️⭐️🍒🎄🍒🎄⭐️ it’s Christmas morning here in South Oz 🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘🇦🇺 and I started my day with you popping up, as usual 😅😂😀 laughed often watching you ⭐️⭐️⭐️ a happy start to the day. My Children & Grandchildren live in the Northern Territory & Queensland so hopefully we’ll have fun video calls during day with them and we’ll go drive visit my old mate’s family tomorrow so today we’ll be quiet enjoying prawn seafood cocktail & dessert chocolate mousse 🍒🎄⭐️🍒🍒🍀🍀🍀🍀 I’m knitting opening my saved yarn advents 🎁🎁🎁 mate will do his puzzles (we’re old I’m 67 & he turns 80 yrs tomorrow), counting our blessings, and then counting them again 🍀🍀🍀 Enjoy the days with loved ones Rachel, sending wishes 🎅🎅🎅
Wow the seaglass fabric turned out so well! It's a really beautiful sweater. Do you feel it was worth the ups and downs making it? From the outside, I would think it is. Merry Christmas!
This is the Travel Buddy Cowl by Kounting Sheep! She designed it as part of the goodie bags for the 2024 Irish Knitting Tour, and now it's available to everyone! I'll update the video description to include it. Thanks!
I’d like your advice on a knit I want to do . I want to use a dk weight noro with a mohair for strength. I wanted to make a tee. Maybe a Tolsta Tee pattern. I’d have to go up a needle size because of the silk mohair. Do you think it would work? I’m a newer knitter with only one garment under my belt.
Make your swatch! Knit with the needles you think will work and then do your measurements. Sometimes we will get the number of stitches we want but the fabric feels too loose or really tight and dense. If your stitch guage works and the fabric feels nice then go for it! Rebecca says to knit to length in her patterns i.e knit until work measures 23cm - so if your row guage is off a little then it'll work out.
Hi there! Non-knitters will be able to enjoy everything alongside you, aside from the workshops. During those times, they are free to relax and/or explore!

Thank you for the Christmas podcast. I’ve started my Stria, but accept it will be a long haul project between other knits.
Gorgeous sea glass sweater!

It’s to bad you don’t include crocheter to Ireland trip.
Crocheters are welcome to join! In fact, we even have a Tunisian Crochet workshop.
Hi Rachel love your videos, I live in Dublin, Ireland Could you please send me details of the pattern for Cushie. I live him
Hi there! The pattern is called Tearoom Lamb by Susan Hickson!
Has Leslie released that pattern yet ?I’d love to get it.
It is set to be released in the beginning of 2025 :)
Wow the seaglass fabric turned out so well! It's a really beautiful sweater. Do you feel it was worth the ups and downs making it? From the outside, I would think it is. Merry Christmas!
Thank you! I do think it was worth it, and I wouldn't be opposed to making another.
Hi Sweetie. Where did you find the pattern for the teddy? He is adorable ❤️
The pattern is Tearoom Lambs by Susan Hickson :)
@ thanks so much. Happiest new year lovely girl.
Maybe I missed it but what is the pattern name for the cowl you’re wearing? Looks beautiful. Thank you

@ thank you Rachel. Have a very Merry Christmas. Love your podcasts

I’m interested in Ireland but wonder what will the spouse (non knitters) do? Love the sweaters, so pretty.
Hi there! Non-knitters will be able to enjoy everything alongside you, aside from the workshops. During those times, they are free to relax and/or explore!
I definitely think it would work! I second the suggestion to make sure you swatch, though.
@ Thank you for your help Rachel !
"Advent" Lesson learned--perhaps???? Never commit to doing the same [moderately large] thing every day for more than 20 [15?] days! Eh?
