The flights on 5th freedom right are every avgeek's dreamed flights. Glad to see you have a good experience on this SIN-DPS route. KLM is one of the few European carriers that deserves a thumb up on customer services. Conrad is surely in top quality unquestionably.

that was an outstanding meal, which is way, way better compared to Philippine Airline's flight to Australia.
Love the report as always!! The plane and amenities looked good and food looked great as well. US carriers need to learn from other countries on how to serve food !! And serving more options even on short hauls.

I flew Delta a few times when they used to do HKG-NRT. Full meals and great amenities. Somehow within the US they’re like low cost :/

@@willemlenteren1485 disagree. I went on KLM from kul to Jakarta in 2019. Got a meal unlinks going 5 hours within the US and no food
Wonderful flight report Jayden.KLM is one of my favourites.I have flown with the airline for the first time in a B747-300 from Mexico to Amsterdam , A310 and multiple 737s.Always a pleasure flying with them.Cheers

Another great video Jayden! KLM seemed surprisingly good for the 2hr flight! Definitely would like to try it out some time. Though the modern seats are cool I agree that it’s a bit less comfy for your back because of the slim seats. Bali is sooo nice! Also so cheap compared to Australia. When I went there however I did miss the Chai Lattes back in Australia. Keep up the great work! :)

glad you didn"t fly long haul on KLM, the inflight meals were horrible where the Airfrance meals happen to be the best amount the major Europeans in my experience ....and the seat in economy is too thin and too firm which I totally agreed with you! the best economy seats on 777 & 787 got to be JAL
I actually had a very good meal on KLM from Amsterdam to Chicago back in May but prior landing meal was meh. Thanks Tony!

wondering, if you didnt need to wear a mask... why did you (except when eating) did they ask you to wear one? that meal looked delish, and for such a short flight too, puts other airlines to shame, well done. i especially liked the roomy toilet area. wow. normally your legs are almost touching the walls etc. question: because you fly so often... do you still get excited on take offs... i think i would. i love watching your vids when the plane just leaves the ground. :) one last question... what was that floating in your bath at end of this video... it looked like blowflies swimming around. lol i had to repeat that scene 3 times, and it still looked like blowies haha
Good question! So Indonesia still requires them, that’s why onboard to Indonesia we had to wear them. If you fly KLM, Bali to Singapore, it’s optional :) Singapore/Amsterdam (destinations) don’t require them
So I still get excited every time!! Like how I’m how excited to see my cat every time I come home🤣🤣
In the bath floating was some dried herbal leaves. The hotel gives them along with bar soap :)

Food does look very colourful and very good quality. Blueberry cake with custard is my type of dessert. Yum.

It’s funny how you think we Singaporeans aren’t aware that we can don’t wear a mask LOL
some people really weren't, especially older people and tourists. I was in Singapore when the first day of indoor mandate was abolished. I was also in Hong Kong when they dropped the mandate completely two weeks ago. In hotels especially you see confused tourists wondering why some were maskless at the buffet
I used to fly KLM very often between SIN and CGK in their WBC, mainly on the old 744s. Ah! You were in SIN same time as me when the mask mandate was taken away on 29 Aug. I arrived that day on JQ from Melbourne, and most people still wore a mask because it has now become a habit. Even when I was walking around Singapore, most people still wore a mask. Don't mention SQ and their paper box meals, its so embarrassing.
Tell me Abt it. As a Singaporean I am so ashamed!
haha you both are Singaporeans la! Well when I got back to Singapore later that week, a bit more people were maskless. Australia ditched the inflight mask rule 2 days ago, a friend flew into Adelaide yesterday and said only 30% wore a mask, no crew did. very interesting differences hey!

Marhaba was quiet and calm. QF business lounge, I went there a week after before a QF departure; fancier and a lot bigger but more crowded.

I was gold when i stayed there last December. Booked the cheapest room and got a room on the executive floor which was great because gold doesn’t come with lounge access haha. No idea for the suite upgrade sorry!

Great video as always. I am absolutely surprised by the meal service of KLM on such a short economy flight, as normally I associate KLM as a very stingy airline when it comes to F&B. I took this route before Covid and liked the Marhaba lounge as well for their excellent food..chilli con carne at the time. I chose a business class ticket and I think KLM business class offers a lot of value on this route. So what is your favourite red, hehe? Cabernet?
Thanks for watching Homer! This experience could not be compared to my Prague-Amsterdam earlier in this year, one was almost a 5* experience and one was low-cost experience. My favourite red is indeed cabernet, followed by merlot and sparkling shiraz! Don't like still shiraz haha!!
SQ pls do something Abt your box meals! My proof further that it's sad your cost cutting will destroy your branding!
KLM looks good! I hope the people you mentioned intending to fly on to Sydney or Melbourne with Jetstar didn't find themselves stranded. Jetstar has _not_ been looking after its customers lately.
Oh my I left last Friday. Just saw on the news that a couple were supposed to leave a day before me (ie last thursday). They’re still there and not leaving til tomorrow the earliest!!
KLM looks like a top-notch airline, and the airfare on your route was very reasonable. Love the Bali vlog! That resort is amazing!
Their business class return on this route is even more reasonable sometimes! I was quoted $500 usd which wasn’t too bad. But it can be as low as $300 usd. Thanks for watching Britt😁
Indeed. This is a fifth-freedom route hence airlines lack identity and have to price keenly. Similar with fifth-freedom sectors worldwide.

I've never asked you for an urgent reply, but this time I really need to ask you which destination would you say you had the best time with Bali or Bangkok?. I have never been to Bali. Can you please write if you found it easy to get around Bali? Did you take a taxi? I see you in a private car & this confused me. So I need to ask. I know your busy. I also didn't see any Conrad Monkey on the bed in the room? I thought everyone got a Monkey?. Did you find currency conversion an issue in Bali? (I am really torn between a decision on Bangkok or Bali. (Like you I will of course fly to Singapore first.). Did you feel safe in Bali. Thank you in advance. Kindest Regards Ron
They’re very different!! BKK is a major city in Asia. Malls, fancy bars etc. Bali is more laid back, beaches, resorts, mountains etc. No Conrad monkey you’re right.

Ron trust me when I say you are safe. Since 1969 I've been there almost 20 times my next trip on Sept 23! Both bkk and Bali are safe but as Jayden rightly mentioned bkk is a major city and Bali is a resort type of island 5 times the size of Singapore. It's all abt what your needs are in your next travel plans. They are different. One is Thai and one is not just Indonesian but rather the Hindu culture with it's mystic and history!

I do this flight route a lot. The business class service is very good too. They will give you one of those dutch houses filled with alcohol, some chocolate in the shape of a Dutch house and fresh ground coffee. Business class meals are served in Dutch ceramics with the blue ink. This is my airline of choice to bali. I'm actually going to try the Garuda Singapore to Bali flight next week just for a change. However, the KLM flight is generally cheaper than Garuda or Singapore because it's a 5th freedom flight.
Yes the business class is really good. Fine crystal glass with great wines. Dutch cutleries and even a small amenity kit and yes the dutch house filled with alcohol! Yes try the Garuda business class omg it's divide it's like first class albeit a 737... Their bowl of nuts is like a giant 🥣... The food is like a 5 star Indonesian restaurant! 👏❤️

KLM certainly rocked this Economy class flight, lm impressed at full meal service for a short hop over to Denpasar. Just curious had the Cabin Crew switched in Singapore or was it the same set from Schiphol because that's a long flight? Couldn't quite catch what the Captain said about the crew. I've stayed at Conrad Nusa Dua twice never had the wow factor for me but goodness hadn't seen the Suites they look lovely 👍
Hi Vanessa! I really did not expect a full meal. Was reading online review on this flight from years ago. They served only a sandwich, like they would do in intra-Europe right now.
They did change crew in SIN, I saw the crew getting off and another crew getting on just when I passed through security. I reckon it’ll be day 1-2: AMS-SIN. Rest. Day 3 or 4: a quick DPS return. Rest again for a night before heading back to Amsterdam

KLM? It's online reviews are pretty appalling right now - so I wouldn't trust the airline with a booking. Singapore Airlines would have got my business on that sector.
Yeah I would avoid KLM if it involves Amsterdam airport😂 But otherwise this route is pretty descent

For such "slimline, modern" seats, they looked quite comfy for a 2 hour flight.....but I dunno about long haul.
At last, a decent size loo in economy !!!
KLM does have a good reputation for meals, and yours looked quite enjoyable... made me hungry !
Legroom is good for long haul. Had this on Amsterdam to Chicago. 777-200 but inside same same. Great recline too. But without the double padding your back won’t be very comfortable after a while! On QF888 now from Perth to Adelaide. Economy has double padding👍🏼👍🏼

I flew to Singapore on the 15th of august and then from there to phuket on the 21st and then from phuket to Melbourne via Singapore on the 4th of September. I had no idea no masks required at changi on the return bit

Great review Jayden, and a good opportunity to fly with KLM on a fifth freedom route. I must be one of the very few people from Australia who has never been to Bali - do you think it is a must -do destination?
I have never been to Bali and it is the last destination for me. I think it is just like Indonesian Version of Gold Coast!
Def a yes been there 19 times and my 20th trip would be Sept 23 and it's just mystic and great value for your dollar!

How long was your waiting time at immigration at DPS airport?
fantastic, you'll love it.
So at DPS, less than 1 minute wait for the covid document checks. 2-3 minutes for getting a visa. 20 mins for immigration. 5 mins for custom

Another excellent video & trip report Jayden. Great service with meal from KLM. Agree with the good food in that lounge, was there a few weeks ago myself. Soundcore is an excellent product. I also have the digital clock radio. Includes 2 USB Ports and Wireless Charging.

Impressive standard of catering for this short flight, Jayden. In truth KL's selling point ought to have been its fare. Normally long-haul fifth-freedom carriers with a short tag at the end would provide the bare minimum.
Thanks Alex. We all love a fifth freedom flight. For HKG-BKK, EK, RJ, ET and UL used to be the cheapest. One time I booked UL business (lie flat) and it was cheaper than CX or TG economy.
Qatar now flies ADL-AKL, but so expensive :(

Hi Jayden, I finally watched one of your KLM flights (this video). Very nice! It was great seeing the Dutch Delft Blauw on the safety video as well as hearing them speak Dutch. That was a nice hotel! Wow, huge space! Although KLM isn't the best in all categories, seeing this reminds me of why I loved flying them so often.

The beautiful green Indonesian scenery brings back memories. When we holiday in Indonesia we stay with Indonesian friends up near Puncak. They have visitor accommodation and the weather up there is permanent springtime. If you're flying into Jakarta or Bandung any time Jayden, you could think about booking a few days' stay at or near Puncak and make sure you set aside most of a day for a tour of the amazing Taman Safari (Safari Park) at Bogor. Just a suggestion :-)

Actually I flew klm a few times on this same route once in economy and once business class and they are awesome much to my initial surprise. Imagine business class was just S$440 round trip Singapore Bali... In 2018! These days still a steal at Ard S$700 becos SQ is above 1K for business class and no amenity kit!
Which airline has the best economy Seat in your opinion
Japan Airlines 777 for the seats for sure!! Cathay A350-1000 would be a close second. Etihad, Qatar and Emirates A380s are good too. Out of the three ME’s, probably EK if upper deck
