Ex pupil, from pre prep to leaving in 1983. The storage room in the Tower had a pool table, which we used at break time. The bigger boys used to monopolise it though, so I didn't get to use it much. I was boarding in my last year and remember swimming in the unheated cold pool in the evening and the unplayable grass tennis court, probably not around now. Also on the wall opposite the kitchen, there were house charts, Romans, etruscans, Greeks, trojans. You got a black mark for bad work or behaviour and red mark for good. As house captain of trojans i wanted us to win the house prize, it seemed important back then. Brings back so many memories, mainly happy. The anger of the headmaster when thieves broke in stole the video player, listening to Billy Joel, uptown girl in the library, table tennis before 9am, my ear bleeding when an ice lolly shaped eraser was thrown at me, uneatable goulash for lunch. Thank you sompting abbots.
At 1: 36 were Stewart talks about the paintings of the people who used to live in the house, Stewart should get a painting done of him and then that could be added to the wall.
What a fabulous building - that roof is incredibly complicated. The kids at that school are so lucky to be taught there!
It looks like a kids playground up there! :)
Well, that was a trip down a distant memory lane. I was a pupil there from 1957 to 1965. Thank you so much for a great video.
So pleased you enjoyed it and that it brought back happy memories.
Very nice behind closed doors video. Beautiful views. Thank you for exploring the place with us.
My pleasure - thanks for watching!
Great video. Thank you! I was at this lovely school in the 1970s but I never got up the tower - it was strictly out of bounds!
Very enjoyable video - thanks for the tour - best behaviour for the headmaster ;-)
Loved this. Always wondered what it was like inside. We are binge watching your older posts. Beats anything on TV
Thanks so much.
Thank you Richard for a wonderful video, it was so interesting
My pleasure Ann - thanks for watching.
Another amazing video offering!!
We do our best!

Shame you didn't go right up the rip, I got all exited when you said you're going up the tower. I've always wanted to go up the very top of that.

Yes indeed, that would be great to see!
