This has been an amazing series. and I thank you all so much and look forward to getting back to NY and the Frick. The program is a sterling example of how museums can get their collections out to the world.

I wil so miss my Friday cocktail but more so all that I have learned with Amy, Guilio and Xavier- if anything good came out of this pandemic is that I have made a discovery of the depth of the Frick collection that will never be forgotten

Thank you Giulio I have so enjoyed getting to know you and learn from you. A new perspective and I knew nothing about marble so this has been amazing. I will miss you and your stories and I do love how you have given us so much about women in art. You have certainly sent me to Amazon for books, to the bookstore at the Frick and even the library to learn more.

Another interesting look at what Renaissance female portrait bust convey both in their time and in our own. The enduring quest to capture the fleeting notion of beauty in a permanent medium seem to be one of those perennial artistic quests. The examination of how scholarship evolves over time and some of the pitfalls of trying to give the sitter a verifiable identity is rather amusing especially the problematic link of the motifs on the voided velvet on the sleeve of the costume and the testicular rebus on the Colleoni coat of arms.
