This helped, since I want to learn graphic design and have classes, yet I have to work too. I just had an offer for a job that was great, yet not in anything related to graphic design. I feel guilty for not taking it now 🥲And uncertain, but this gives hope and perspective. 🙏🏼
I feel this on so many lvl's. I also dropped out 3 times... It was really hard the 3. time, i felt like a huge failure, and a disappointment to my family and me honestly, but it just wasn't for me anymore, I didn't feel good. As creative people, we need to CREATE something, some product, to be happy and to feel fulfilled in life. I want to start sewing and designing clothes, and, eventually, start my own business! So good luck with your business girl! Im glad i found your video
Dropping out can feel so heavy, but it’s brave to walk away from something that doesn’t feel right. ✨ I completely agree, as creatives, we’re happiest when we’re making something meaningful. sewing and designing clothes sound so exciting!! ahh u should def go for it!!! what's ur ig so we can connect
Wow this was such a great and relatable video! I feel less alone after hearing your story and admire your bravery to keep trying even when you felt defeated. You're awesome and I can't wait to see your dreams come true. 💞
I changed my major (master) not once, twice but multiple times, from game design to graphic design to fashion design(I did not get in) to English to Creative writing to Business to Legal Studies. I have finally decided to study entrepreneurship and innovation at Drexel Online. As you wonder how is this possible? Basically, I have GI Bill as a veteran, and for each major, I only took one semester. So I still have GI Bill left, but I have to decide on one now because I am going to run out.
So I have a better understanding of myself now. Which is design (a big chunk of me), writing (I am not into it anymore, but I still like books), Law (Too serious, too much reading, but very useful), an MBA is actually different from entrepreneurship, because MBA usually teaches how to climb the corporate ladder, and entrepreneurship is about how to start your own company. So it comes down to, "I will start my own company, focus on design, with compliance with the law, and maybe write a book about my success in the future." LOL.
You'd be like, why not stick with design, yes, I wanted to change again to a fashion design/business program. But my GI Bill is going to run out, so I have to stick with entrepreneurship now, I am already in the second semester. Plus, entrepreneurship is broader, I can do anything I want in any field I want, not be restrained to fashion. Sorry, I left such long messages, but your video really resonates with me, I wish you the best.
I completely understand how tough those decisions can be, but you’re absolutely right, entrepreneurship gives you the freedom to explore so many different paths. That will open doors for whatever passions you want to pursue. Don’t apologise for the long message, I love hearing stories like yours! Wishing you all the best, you’ve got this!!
