Anyone looking thru the comments, ima tell ya this dude is all u need when it comes to mastering now follow instructions and put out that music you’ve been holding back
so far u this the channel that ive really understood mastering ....I already know how to master but didnt understand the concept of the face issues and the loudness range very well ...uve really helped me. Now i can graduate in my mastering class
Thanks and you are welcome. Phasing in music happens when a number of sounds work against each other ending up eliminating some frequencies. And these frequencies could be the most important ones of your song like the part that makes your vocals clear and bright so that could be eliminated in the mix without you knowing if you have no metering plugin to show you that. But I think I can make a video to demonstrate this.
If you have time or possible to make Tutorial - from scratch ( Recording/Playing with instruments Mixing/Gain staging & final mastering ) then pls make it, my request. Thanks a lot 😍
How much db did your Beat and lead vocal have when you exported. I followed the instructions and it really does sound better but at the end where you bring in the limiters I realised I was too loud
Hi bro hope you are doing great and sorry for the late reply. Well if the reduction is more than -3dB then your mix is likely to start distorting coz then the limiter will start squashing the mix. Its not certain where your limiter might be too much it could even be at -7 or -8 reduction depending on the level of your mix. But I've just come to realize that -3dB of gain reduction is usually safe.
Hi Stanley hope you are doing great, the value keeps changing because the level of loudness is not the same at every single point of the song. Some parts are lower because maybe the beat is not as loud on the verses as it is on the chorus. So our goal is to take the loudest point of the song to the standard loudness value...
I have downloaded many of your videos and I swear there has been a lot upgrades in my mixing and mastering... You are a germ... But I had to add T-Racks plugins for more weight to my song in the list.
Hi hope you doing great, the plugins I used in this master chain are the most important plugins needed for mastering Eq, compression and limiting. The Kramer is some kind of a tape saturation plugin and saturation is just one of the addition techniques in the industry used to give your mix some warmth and a little bit of controlled distortion to raise some nice harmonics. However, this does not mean every mix needs saturation. It is just one of those decisions you make in the process when you feel like your mix sounds light and you would like to warm it up. So you can add it to this mastering chain before the limiter if you feel it will improve your song there’s no problem with that .. you can even go in detail and add some imaging for stereo widening. I just wanted to make this tutorial as simple as possible but effective and easy for everyone to understand.
@@JayTheMg I tried to combine two L2 limiters this way and I like how it sounds in the end but I talked to one famous producer and he told me that it is unnecessary because that one l2 is enough for me to get enough volume, but I mix with the two l2 limiters combined for me makes it much more concrete and expressive, if you can give some of your own review and whay you use 2 l2 limiters in master chain?
@@Udomljavanjepasa Hi hope you doing great. Well he is right in most cases just 1 Limiter is enough to achieve the level of loudness required. However, I explained why I ended up using 2 limiters on this particular mix I mentioned at this point 09:09 . There's nothing wrong with using 2 limiters as long as its for the right reasons listen to what I said here 09:09
The reason we mix in mono sometimes is because its much easier to hear problems that are in the mix than it is in stereo but it doesn't necessarily mean you always have to mix in mono even mixing in stereo is okay but from time to time you can switch and check what it sounds like in mono. After you are done Mixing there's no need for you to leave it in mono. Its best you master in stereo because that's what you will need to export. A stereo file..
Sometimes I prefer you to use the best software your prefer than working around only waves , cause I remember vividly you mention traxs and ozone . Make a tutorial on the way you do your own mastering and your preferred software

Why is the analyzer fluctuating from -12 to -10 and other value fluctuation
