    Here is a bit easier way if helpful for you: ruclips.net/video/wpmKIozGoAs/видео.html

      Interesting for me it didn't work that way. But if it works for others that's great

    Thank you for the valuable info, on How to mesh alembic particles, it is really rare to find such a tutorial.

    Great stuff, these Storm to blender videos are super useful!

      To which extent does STORM allow to obtain simulations better than Blender would?

    Hi! Can you tell me how to export blender armature animations with the alembic file? I've tried it a few times but in storm the armature just stand still...
    EDIT: I've figrued it out. You have to bake the armature animation into the mesh by Clicking on the animated mesh then Object -> Animation -> Bake Action...

    Great! Thank you! Can we import animations from blender into storm to use them as collision objects?

    • @JonathanKron

      Yes, you can just export the animated models as an alembic file and import them into storm.

      @@JonathanKron fantastic! Thank you very much :)

    An easier and faster way is to export as alembic-sequence. You can import it without extra-addon natively in Blender. And it works with higher resolution ;).

      Hi, Blender has issues importing alembic sequences from Storm (At least for me it wasn't working). That's why I showed this workaround. If it works for you then that's great :D

    My system does not export the obj as sequence - it only overwrites one and the same file for each frame. Any idea why this could happen?

      Hi, when adding the write node try left clicking on the file path field once. It should switch to the expression view. Then change the filetype to obj. It should export as a sequence then.

    Could you show how we can turn it into liquid or snow for these simulations?

    • @JonathanKron
      @JonathanKron  3 года назад

      For snow, you just need a lot more and smaller particles. In my last storm tutorial I explained the process for liquids :)
