Quick amendment here friends, pay attention to the skills on the beta armor set, I accidentally still had some decos on my sword so I got them a little wrong - apologies for that error! It doesn’t have any recovery up, crit boost, resentment or constitution
I use to majorly struggle with Raging, barely even beating him with randoms. Now I’ve come back a year later, helping some friends get through Iceborne for the first time and decided to fight him. Had one group of 3 join, 2 Hammers and a HH. Never was low health and absolutely demolished him. From then on, I’ve been able to solo Raging fairly easily. I spent the 2 weeks the latest festival was up for trying to get the rare materials for my armor. Finally got it all and am really happy to have made my original goal, from a year ago, come true!
I love this monster. On all of my playthroughs he's been such a challenge but i respect him so much for that, one of my favourite fights in the whole game
For any melee weapon players, mix 2 pieces of raging brachys armor with 3 pieces of teostra's armor and you can make the best pre-fatalis set in the game. Upgrade the agitator charm and slap it on top and you're good to go
Agitator charm 5 requires MR 100 (grinding land spread lv7 lunastra) . By that time people should have farmed fatalis set already. The Teostra part is true.
@@Onetime-ly9dh not true I waited until mr 100 and guiding lands to make sure I got augments and defence for solo fatty. Unless you want to get carried.
@@callanharvey6264 I don't see the advantage using branchy build if it is not for agitator 7. Why don't just use alatreon build or lunastra + gold rathian build for first time fatalis?
@@kevo300 I don't think solo grinding land to level 7 is realistic either. You have to do some multi play. Btw you know you don't have to win fatalis to make the set, right? I really love Raging Brachy's armour and weapon aesthetics, as well as the blast element. Fought him so much before fatty that I had almost every weapon of its tree and got very good at consistently soloing him, until a friend told me to grind fatty later on. Even now with fatty gear I like using the Raging Brachy layered armour and weapon for my gun lance loadout.

I just recently attempted this Hunt after beating Iceborn base game. I definitely am not leveled or equipped to handle this fight lol. Its also makes more sense now why the first hunter to join said they were going to hide the entire fight.

The raging brachidios is not the best monster to farm pre fatalis, you should farm alatreon instead (fatalis is weak to dragon and the alatreon weapons have the most dragon element of all the weapons, good slots and a ton of sharpness, also his armor Is better for slots, elemental defense and skill that you get since you get atk bonus 6 just from gloves and belt). I can concede that in a mixed set pre fatalis you definitly should include 2 pieces of raging brachidios in order to get access to agitator 7 that is a top priority skill but you should mix it with 3 pieces of alatreon.
