I don’t collect vintage makeup but I love seeing other people’s collections. Your collection is amazing, I love how creative those Avon compacts are especially the handheld mirror. Tfs 💛 also your southern accent is so cute ☺️

Hi, I’m sixty years old and have been collecting powder compacts and vintage makeup since my twenties. Unfortunately for me everything is a lot more expensive here in Scotland and a lot of the American cosmetics are hard to come by but I just love seeing other people’s collections. Very well done, absolutely fantastic collection, please keep going, today it might only be one or two folk watching, tomorrow the world❤️Maybe you would consider joining the British compact collectors society. We have folk from all over the world and you get a great idea of the history of cosmetics and compacts❤

Well hello. I love your collection. I am a collector myself. Not quite as enthusiastic as you are, but I do have a few. I also collect vintage medicine. I had a cabinet in my bathroom and it was chock full of old medicine and makeup stuff too. Just one note, your gorgeous compact with comb in the slot is made of a material called celluloid which is highly flammable, so please be careful. Sorry, my grandmotherly instincts always kick in. Your collection encompasses so many different decades and I was wondering if you had a favorite? Do you get into the clothing of these periods as well? Just nice to know what the ladies were wearing while carrying their compacts around. I’m going to make my dinner now and come back for part 2. Thank you so much for sharing your obsession with us.

@BeverlyDwyer-u1p hi! Yes, celluloid isn't exactly the safest material. But the 1920s is about my favorite decade for compacts! And I have a few vintage clothing items, not many though. I love the 60s era dresses.

@@YassssifiedHistory I’m in love with them all from Victorian, to the slinky 1930’s, the full skirt 50’s. As a child in the 60’s, we had full skirts with crinolines, to the late 60’s mini skirts. Preferred the crinolines. My mother once bought be a slip that had a tube running through it and when you blew it up, your skirt got fuller. I wish I knew where that thing went to. And I know what you mean about celluloid, I have some really sweet pieces. One little letter holder a child got from her teacher. I adore it!

I love the crusty burnt pepperoni comment. It really DOES look like one! 😂
Can't wait to see the rest of your collection with the included commentary. You're quite witty. 😊
