I like your goals and beekeeping energy so I just subscribed. I also have a channel jrtbees but not nearly as serious as you. Good luck with your bees this season!
You’re a good interviewer with good questions-and a lead on how to equalize (looking forward to Bob’s next video) because we’re expecting an early spring buildup, too.
Question about pine deep boxes. You said that a pine box will only last 5 years if it’s not treated. Im in Year 2 and have 6 hives and all are painted on the outside. I’ve also 30 nucs I just painted. Do I need to paint the inside with linseed oil and the preservative you mentioned to make them last or will the bees’ Propolis be enough to last a long time? I assume it’s too late to dip in a shallow tank like Bob mentioned. I wish I saw this video a week ago before I started painting.
When I said they last five years, I meant in great condition. The boxes that I painted five years are still usable, but they have gaps in between the boxes. I am not sure if the linseed/copper mixture would help at this point. Bob might know, I would email him and ask.
Sharp young man.
Thanks!

Good job trying to find an watch everyone’s video to help out thinking of starting my own channel 2024
It is a challenge but definitely worth it! I really enjoy having the opportunity to speak with legends with Bob.
Thank you for your effort

U could use a different mic.
I am considering buying one, but the audio issues are due to my wifi. When I film normal videos the audio is not nearly as inconsistent.
