Met this guy awhile back at Reid Memorial skatepark in York PA. This young kid wrote him a letter so he flew out and spent some time out here. Great guy great skater.
Such a powerful film. Beautiful illustration of the restorative and therapeutic power of skateboarding, both as a sporting activity and as the basis for community.
Other way around for me. I found an 8.25 Flight deck in the bargain bin at my local skate shop for $40 and I've been curious about them so I grabbed it. Really like the deck so I decided to google it and find out what the shape is and that lead me here. I'd heard of the dude before but never really paid any attention to him but after watching this I'm happy to have his board - dude fucking rips. Pretty rad to see his mom pushing into a hill bomb in flip flops too haha.
I met Charlie at the airport yesterday, and talked to him for a bit, so I decided to watch that. I'm not surprised by his past, with the way he talks and stuff. Respect
Hey man your stories badass your stoked that you had somebody that actually gave a shit. I'm 56 my dad used to beat me up all the time when I was a kid so I used to go Skate and Surf. I raised 3 of my own. Had a blast til their mom kicked me out
If u can tell charley I use to look up to him but he is a liability I'm his nephew but I thot that he was my best friend at the time but u know how many times he lide to me my sister's he has not seen my baby brother yet but I'm waiting for him to get start I still love him but he has to get start to see me.😥
