I've gotta say, I found your videos a couple days ago, and I've been watching years worth of car audio videos and been doing my own installs for many more years. I haven't watched a channel that has given me this level of inspiration and direction like I have in these videos you guys make. Thank you, I will continue to watch and enjoy and learn. Keep doing what you do. You guys meet my expectation and direction in car audio like I've never seen.
I have a pair of 17 year old JL Audio W015's that I had to refoam, but they still sound just as good as the day they were bought! I won't replace them either, used to run them with a pair of matching 12's in a ford Aerostar on a $400 watt 4 channel Clarion and people could not believe it, I turned an Orion dealer into a JL Audio dealer when I showed him my setup! He was amazed and had soon began selling JL, that was the same system I woke up a fire department with, all of them were in lawn chairs at the station on the strip wearing long johns pointing out my van to the police! How many people have ever requested two different sizes of subs in an install? Back in the day, with JL it was a secret I learned from another friend! He couldn't fit four 15's in his grand am, but could just barely fit two 12's and two 15's and he would rattle my house over a mile down the road!
I always wondered why back in the day people did the different size subs. 2 15's and 2 12's. I remember when I was 15 I wanted a Toyota Celica hatchback just for the purpose of putting in "2 15's and 12's". lol.
if you actually get to read this message from one installer to another i really do appreciate what you both do it's hard to find legit car audio installers these day and you guy do amazing work im a big fan when im not at work doing installs myself im at home watching your videos when i do installs on a costumers car i do it as if it where my car with the best intention in mind thank you for sharing i am a big JL Audio along With phoenix Gold
I love your videos. I obsess over my car audio, but am married with 3 kids(broke). Your vids are great because you do the best with what the owner has and wants to achieve. You don't product push and that is appreciated as well.
Love your vedio's brother. Keep thm vedio's cominh. I also think Fernando is a cool guy. His like ur side kick. Your vedio's have helped me because I'm old school and i got out of sound systems years ago. I'm learning about the new sound systems and and the adapter's you got use with factory radio's. It's been a little over 20 years since my last system. So please keep thm vedio's coming. Keep
Nice video loved it.. I was waiting for something like this so I can do my truck. You guys really covered everything i wanted to know thanks!!!! Big fan!!!
I’ve worked on a lot of those trucks. To get the center console out without taking the seats out all you have to do is take the 4 Phillips head screws out from the left and right of the center console. The 4 in the bottom of the console pocket. Then take apart the rear seat entertainment. Sounds like more work when written down but no heavy lifting and it leaves the amp in the truck instead of the console.
Great video guys I love watching these joints and you are so good at explaining the facts of audio. Always impressive and fun to watch. Have a great weekend and see you next time. 👍😜✌
L9ve your videos keep up the good work. By the way the bass knob in the console really annoyed me my local shop did that to my yukon pissed me off, water coffee got through the hole mest up my electrical. Best place to put it is between seat and console 👌 keep hidden 😉 6" by buckle release.
I love how the Pioneer NEX models have the Rear Speaker off option that can be added to the favorites tab. In my Silverado, I just turn my rears off unless I have rear passengers.
Rear speakers can play an interesting role in smoothing out crossover points if you have larger rears like 6x9 with 6.5 component in the front. But I guess that would fall into the preference category.
i actually didn't mind this style video.... however i still prefer your older format using go-pros and multiple angles. Great job on that install!! I REALLY hope one day you guys get to do a full system overhaul in a newer model Grand Cherokee (2014+ with alpine or HK factory systems).
Yes,it creates a whining noise. The faster you drive the louder the whine will get cause the alternator is picking up the current threw the RCA and battery wire. Run your RCA wires down one side and your battery down the opposite side of the car
I can't believe you had to practically take the whole dash apart on the Honda and said how great it was but that one small center section of about 6 clips is a "pain in the butt".
Awesome video I have a similar truck but is a avalanche and been wanna to put subs under rear seat , and trying to figure out I'd down fire or up fire would be best. thanks again for this video ,
Great vid guys! High school for me was always subs first... lol, love my jls too when I got them in mid 90s was a Rockford guy until I got my jl subs, subs have always exceeded my expectations, still like the punch amps though,.......would love to have you guys here my system I have put in and play guess what I have done, hahaha
Great job! Do which ever format you want - i like them both. Unless someone has dealt with the Bose stuff they will never know how much work this truck was. I'm in the infant stage of changing my Bose out. Done many installs in the past but holy cow! Kid is high school or college? ""Thanks Daddy!" Who wants to bet a buck he'll trash that truck in 3 months. Oh well....
You have videos on testing wires!?? Your doing stuff different thank you so much for al this knowledge many shop take advantage of customers that know nothing about this !!!!
For a great sq demo song, try Danger Zone. Cant remember original artist as the one i have is rebassed, but its the theme song to Top Gun! When im showing off the sq of my system i play that song every time!
i down on jl for a long time until i was working for a shop that sold jl audio, the only way they would help with the cost of the equipment was for me to run jl subs. i wasn't happy but i tried them out JL audio 10 w3 four of them in one of my custom box. i figured that if i blew them at comp i just get something else. after break in and tune i was beating hard. my amp was getting very toasty running at 1 ohm ( us 200-hc ) at comp i won at 159.3 db . never blew them, i was a fan then and now. i sure miss the good old days of clean high current amps.
Man you guys do awesome work!! I’m gonna have to figure out how far Clearwater is from Dothan Al and get you guys to install my next system !! Keep up the good work , ps I’m might be calling you guys for a quote
you should do these more often but each time you do in install on a different car you should title it that name of that car so people here watching can look up how to with whichever car they have for like a diy for themselves like mazda 6 radio install/ mazda 6 speaker install. etc
Love your videos guys. You always explain everything well. Can you guys do a wiring how to for a stock toyota tundra with an amp, dsp and a sub? Looking to do my '18 tundra keeping the stock optional JBL headunit but adding a JL Audio 8w3v3-4 Sub and JL audio Fix 86.Already swapped the stock speakers with Focal plug &play thanks to you guys!
Great information. I'm wondering where the bifurcation happens for the Bose system in the front speakers. I have an 09. There were only two wires for each channel at the harness in the console. So does the signal split and there are crossovers built into the speakers themselves?
You know the reason why you series dual voice coil subs is to lower the impedance to match the amp. If you have a 1000w amp stable at 1 ohm or 500w at 2 ohm and you wire the 2 ohm dual voice coils the way you wired them you would only push 500w to the subs. But if you wire them the way you don't prefer then they would be wired in series and you would get the full power (1000w) to the subs. More bang for your buck. Otherwise to get the same performance you would have to have double the output amp. Which would cost you roughly twice as much.
I have a system with new tweets and 4 doors and 2 subs under seat all Rockford and seem like my set up not good like yours ..if I had some one like you to look at it be a good helpful .. to see why my sounds not good and i feel like paid to much. ($3,500+) paid for all eight speakers and two amps and door protects and new stereo 🤔
I've gotta say, I found your videos a couple days ago, and I've been watching years worth of car audio videos and been doing my own installs for many more years. Wow! I have a new found respect for Car Audio Technicians. I can not believe how much you need to know to make an audio system. You guys are amazing.
None are this good/detailed

HAHA, Minute 8:18.... Fernando comes flying in from the right..... LOL, another great one guys!!
You guys killed it on this one, great system, very informative video and very cool way of filming it, great job as always!!
I really liked this "format" guys. All the info without the tedious stuff. Gotta show the details sometimes, but as a regular video, this is perfect.
Badass job on this Video ... love the Amp rack and X-over rack , very well thought out process & placement

One of your best videos to date
Always subs first.. Lol. 1984 was the first time i heard 6 -12"s @ 2ohms i was 15. I got a 1970 Toyota Crown Station wagon. 4- 12"s @ 2ohms.
I like the change on this one, to the point, very nice work u two, always entertaining and i learn something new every episode..
Cool video and changing up the format every now and then is a good thing.
I’m in Cali and you guys so awesome I stay up to watch 👍🏽
Nice video loved it.. I was waiting for something like this so I can do my truck. You guys really covered everything i wanted to know thanks!!!! Big fan!!!
Absolutely amazing work guys! Keep em coming! Waiting to see a Landcruiser!

ive done it this way also
Great video guys I love watching these joints and you are so good at explaining the facts of audio. Always impressive and fun to watch. Have a great weekend and see you next time. 👍😜✌
Love the way you shot the video. No need to see the same wiring harness over and over so this was a welcome change.
Great work guys and very educational...
Nice dancing Dean! I liked the video. Keep up the great work!
FAR superior format for your vids. Thanks!
Great install.
JL and RF are both awesome at making amps and subs. Matter in fact, I have a JL Audio XD 800/8v2 and RF T1500bdcp
Awesome video. Great format. It was super cool and informative!!!
Another killer video my friends. Love it!!
I like the way this video was done.

You said a mouth full. I was the same way started right out of high school . Had a truck with 8 12' and a pair of components . lol
Brilliant Job Guys! Awesome Install.

Excelent job guys
L9ve your videos keep up the good work. By the way the bass knob in the console really annoyed me my local shop did that to my yukon pissed me off, water coffee got through the hole mest up my electrical. Best place to put it is between seat and console 👌 keep hidden 😉 6" by buckle release.
Superb presenting.
Good job keep it coming.👍
I like the in depth videos more info and better ideas for the self installer by the way best videos thanks guys
I love how the Pioneer NEX models have the Rear Speaker off option that can be added to the favorites tab. In my Silverado, I just turn my rears off unless I have rear passengers.
JL have always produced quality
No complaints about this video style! Great spots to hide all the components too.
Rear speakers can play an interesting role in smoothing out crossover points if you have larger rears like 6x9 with 6.5 component in the front. But I guess that would fall into the preference category.
I really have to make an appointment to get in and have you guys equalize my system soon as i get my 4 channel issue taken care of!
These guys are the best,
Very nice work!
Sweet video love the amp mount
You guys do great work !

I see I'm not the only one that has that phoenix gold shirt with the silk screen that comes off when you wash it! Lolo
i actually didn't mind this style video.... however i still prefer your older format using go-pros and multiple angles. Great job on that install!!
I REALLY hope one day you guys get to do a full system overhaul in a newer model Grand Cherokee (2014+ with alpine or HK factory systems).
You lost weight, Dean! Great job!
FIFA at work!! Living my dream job.
Shoutout to the little blue Chinese screwdriver. Vapers know.
Rear speakers help to make a more full sound. Very important coming from a home audio backing haha.
Like that shirt😁👍🏾
That truck looked clean inside
It is true that there are disturbing noises if the rca are combined with the ground and current cables
Yes,it creates a whining noise. The faster you drive the louder the whine will get cause the alternator is picking up the current threw the RCA and battery wire. Run your RCA wires down one side and your battery down the opposite side of the car
Nice fellas very educational love it
See you like it the hard way..lol..great work Dean..

Yes please and thank you! More GMC
I like rears because I want a good sound experience from anywhere in the vehicle.
More video's on Trailblazer's please , lol , doing head unit , and a 12" sub with vented enclosure and 300w rms amp .
"keep moving forward" reminded me of meet the Robinsons haha.
you should do these more often but each time you do in install on a different car you should title it that name of that car so people here watching can look up how to with whichever car they have for like a diy for themselves like mazda 6 radio install/ mazda 6 speaker install. etc

See that stinger started selling wire ferrules with heat shrink (and not in 100 packs)?
Great information. I'm wondering where the bifurcation happens for the Bose system in the front speakers. I have an 09. There were only two wires for each channel at the harness in the console. So does the signal split and there are crossovers built into the speakers themselves?
JL is big in Ontario, Canada 🇨🇦
Jorge Bolanos:I will appreciate a recommendation to install on my 06 Nissan Quest SL a aftermarket. Thanks

Bose rear speakers might be smaller to avoid phase issues or bass cancellation.
What is that song at the 24:50 mark. Can't get it out of my head. Killer beat
Fernando I'm with you I like it
Why are those crossovers so big?
Where did you get that "RUN DSP" shirt.
