Great video! on the bolts i usually do them bolt towards the front end so if the nut falls off there’s a chance the bolt stays and keeps that exhaust on
@@RobMotive That's a decent length of pipe with a resonator so surprised it isn't louder. Glad to hear it though. Not interested in the Tacoma being any louder. The massive black tip may be history soon.
Is there any concern about the additional heat this will add around the suspension and drivetrain components? Even with it being a turndown you still have hot exhaust exiting near the u-joint, diff, axel, and a significant amount of rubber bushings
@RobMotive I know your a Toyota guy, but could you check out the exhaust I did on my frontier?? I engineered my own catback for it, completely getting rid of that typical truck v6 note.
Nice job Rob always like to see you working underneath of a truck or car or whatever reminds me of when you changed the rebel exhaust actually that truck looks a lot better now, with that big pipe off of there save a little weight as well I don’t understand why they put the pipes on the left side nowadays and tacos and tundras👍👍!!
Some people wanna clean up the look of the truck. Looks are half the reason I went high clearance on mine. But I also do plan on offloading from time to time. There's a guy I follow that smashed his tail pipe into the rear quarter and partially melted the bumper in the process.

Definitely a cleaner look.
Will be curious to see if there are no check engine lights and the sound stays the same as some time passes.
@hiofecr911 No check engine lights and I don’t know why the sound would change.

@hiofecr911 I can’t say I hear any more noise at all.

I’m not concerned. Toyota apparently isn’t either since the Trailhunter has this same setup👍
what d ring kit do you have for the rear? love the red and the truck!
Have a look: ruclips.net/video/NETuLOtt9fk/видео.htmlsi=MBX1w1XWobOrJayv
Looks good! Welcome to the high clearance club
Thank you👍

I run axle dumps on my 94 mustang GT 5.0. Their illegal in Maine due to carbon monoxide seeping in the cabin. Looks better I agree.
I'm trading in my jeep gladiator for a 24 Tacoma at the dealership now.
Now that’s exciting! What are you getting?
I like the black chrome exhaust tip better.
It would look better if it was symmetrical. I dislike a single tail pipe on trucks. Either have duals or tuck em

Lol! That was a long time ago! I don’t get it either. What they put on the 4th Gen Tacoma is just ugly! This is so much better 👍
Nice and neat!
If you leave it idle for a long time. Does the exhaust smell come back in the truck? Since it's not routed out the backside, or like normal.
Sat in line at Chik-fil-A with the drivers window down today and didn’t notice anything.
Why waste the time and money to change the existing exhaust pipe if you’ll never go off-road? Doesn’t make sense?!🤷♂️😳
I explained that in a previous video👍
Looks waaay better.

That pipe should be stock on all the OffRoad trims.
Absolutely 👍
The pop was from reving your engine in neutral it's normal.
Rob, Why don't you use your lift it would be a lot easier.
You’d think right! However, due to my wheel offset, it’s too wide to fit on a the lift now.
Where did you purchase it from?
At The Helm Fabrication. Tell 'em RobMotive sent you 👍
👍
I think it looks better without that long hanging tail pipe
Absolutely 👍
is it California legal?
No idea. I’d check with your vendor.
Don't see why it wouldn't be, the trail hunter has this setup and it's sold in California 🤷♂️
save your money and time, contrary to other reports this pipe and resonator delete make the truck sound even worse and louder
I disagree. Do you have one?
@ yes, i installed, drove to the local coffee shop returned home and removed it immediately
You must have ultra sensitive ears😂
Makes you wonder why they came up with the pipe out the side. Looked junky to me.
They should all be this way👍
Regardless, that's 16lbs less in weight and the sound I think has a little more bass to it and sounded great. I's say it was a success. 👍👍
I agree👍
The old exhaust looked terrible
I agree!
Less is more most of the time and especially this time.
Amen!
