I know you're trying to keep the truck under $50K and want the bigger 14" screen. That puts you in the Upgrade Package. You may already know this, because I'm sure you've done your research, but one thing to consider is the 360 camera. The 360 camera is really good for off-road use. I haven't taken my TRD Sport off road...yet..., but I use it all the time for parking and placement when parking in my garage. The 360 camera does not come on the upgrade package, you just get the larger screen (maybe some more content??). You have to step up to the Premium Package to get all the stuff that allows for the 360 views (mirror cameras and others, console button, etc.). The dilemma is that Premium Package is going to push you over your $50K threshold unless you find good discounts or can haggle a good deal. Maybe the 360 camera isn't important to you, but I've seen other videos where buyers had regret for not getting the 360 camera on their TRD Off-Roads. Also, you mentioned some possible off-road content on future videos. IMO, I would think having the 360 camera would enhance the viewing experience and potential learning of proper tire placement etc. while driving off-road. Just a thought. Either way, I look forward to future videos in the new Tacoma TRD Off-Road!
Sounds like the commenter helped you rationalize getting a new truck!😂 Yeah! Get the new one dirty! The TRD off road has a lot of off road goodies! Most of the TRD off road trucks come with the TRD off road upgrade or premium packages which drives the price over $50,000. Good hunting!
Had a 21 Tacoma a possum got into the engine and destroyed everything dealer gave me a decent trade offer picked up a 24 sport this time 4x4 but wasn’t able to remove the wheels or roof rack I had. Could have got some decent money selling em on market place 😭
The skeptics can say what they want. The new Tacoma is just better than the old one. Engine and transmission. Ride comfort, better steering, better sears, etc
I am curious to know how the dealer will handle your wheel swap. Sports come with 18" wheels and Off Roads come with 17" wheels. So if you have them take your new Off Road stock wheels and put them on your old Sport, it would be 17" wheels on a Sport. I am not sure the dealer would go for that. Maybe I am wrong, but I think most dealers by me would poo poo that.
Honestly I think that’s better I have a 24 sport, and I absolutely hate the 18 inch wheels seems like it’s more wheel then tire, ima replace em with some with icon 17s soon
