Funny story about this lock. Once I lost my keys at college but could only get home by bike. Id given up on finding my keys that day but i still had to unlock my bike. We have a machinery department and one of the guys there offered to try to break my lock so I could go home. They much like in the video used massive bolt cutters and failed. Only way they got it off was to unbolt the bike stand it was locked up to and then unloop it. Fortunately did find my keys the next day but it definitely made me have a lot of trust in the lock.
Wow, good to hear we’re the only ones struggling to crop the Mini!
Thanks for sharing & watching
May have given you trust in that lock and a distrust in that bike rack😉
Wow. This is what I call a test. The foldylock performed really well and better than I thought it would. I didn’t expect a folding lock to put up a fight lock that. I think other posters need to stop constantly bringing up angle grinders. What percentage of bike thieves use angle grinders? 0.01% or less? Lot of other tools get the "job done" more discreetly without the high decibels and the sparks flying that brings attention.
In many urban areas angle grinders are becoming more and more popular, I don't want to guess, but i'm sure its much higher than 0.01%. Thanks for watching.
They are all using angle grinders. Carried in a backpack and a general public that just watches it happen.
Feel free to share any feedback you have on my review procedure (I'll use it to improve future content). Thanks for watching!

I use this to quickly lock my Wolf King GT E-Scooter when I run into the store
I also have the SeatyLock Viking for lock term locking. Yup I use both.
Good idea. Do you use the Viking Gold or Silver?
@@bikelockwiki
Gold all the way!!
I’ve just bought this on your review as I just want a lock thats easy to carry and give me some security while popping into a shop. Looking at the litelok x1 as well
This is a great resource
I'm glad you found it helpful!
Looks like a fantastic lock for my $700 electric scooter in combination with the Seatylock Mason U-lock through the "neck" of the scooter and its front wheel in addition to a motion alarm!
Which motion alarm do you use?
@@bikelockwiki Just the Amazon Upgraded Bike Alarm Waterproof with motion sensitivity setting.
Great way to lock up a Segway Ninebot Max G30LP.
Great video thankyou
Did you find a supplier of the Mini in the UK? Most shops I’ve seen seem to only stock the Compact?
I don’t have a UK based supplier for the Mini, the product is still relatively new, so I’m sure a few suppliers will eventually stock this in the UK.
What about leverage? That seems like the weakest aspect, the joints..
Just getting set up so that we can test this in future videos.
The commonly targeted weak point of folding locks has long been the rivets, (normally with bolt cutters) hence why we’ve seen so many upgrades to the rivet protection on the best folding locks.
Cordless grinder is what thrives use..they know this
