Thank-you for sharing these travels. I'm not sure what your aim is as regards "talking about the station(s)," as they lack both historical and contemporary detail; but it is still pleasant for the most part. One major omission is of course the signalbox at Aberdour which after many years of dereliction is now holiday accommodation I believe, while Markinch, which is one of the original stations opened with the line in 1848 has only been 'a very modern station' for around 25 years! I do of course appreciate the time you had there was suddenly curtailed by the arrival of a Leven bus, of which this is normally about three per hour. Ladybank, by comparison, is the most complete of the original stations. There was a further bay platform at the southern end of Platform 2: this was the eastern end of the somewhat rambling cross-country route to Kinross Junction, which lost its passenger services along with most of the intermediate stations on the Perth line, in 1955. Although now outwith the station boundary fence, and part of someone's garden, the degrading stop blocks are still visible from the platform, which is a rather nice nod to the past! WELL DONE for managing to fit in a train to Springfield, by the way - it has had the same, minimal service levels for many decades and it does intruigue me that in these days of much-expanding villages, no serious efforts to have more trains call there appears to be taking place! As well as Springfield village, it also serves Stratheden Hospital, which although now much reduced in bed-capacity with all the Victorian buildings out of use, remains an active mental hospital with no plans to re-use the old buildings that I'm aware of. I guess if a residential conversion were to take place, this might change all that. The Cults Limeworks branch left Springfield by the level crossing at Hospital Mill by the way - a few hundred yards to thte south of Springfield station. Burntisland used to have extensive canopies on both platforms incidentally: unfortunately the 1986 refurbishment you mentioned involvedd the removal of those on the northbound one - along with the former "Ladies Waiting Room" and Gents lean-to urinal on the northbound one, when the former had its facilities removed and has since became a general waiting shelter. Kirkcaldy has obviously been rebuilt several times too - the latest one-sided effort being the result of a deliberately started fire. Thankfully though, most of the residents are much friendlier!
My aim for each station is just to add a few facts, if I gave lots of detail for each one the video would last for much longer and I have a lot to cover. Thank you for the comment nonetheless!
It's basically the excursion & stabling platform; normally being used by only the last train into Leven (and the first one out if the unit has stabled overnight there). Platform 1 is the one used by everyday services. Whether this will change once there are two trains per hour remains to be seen. The platforms are long enough to accommodate 8 x 23m coaches. The Circular building / shelter at the end of the platform is also part of the station by the way, but the inside part is not open to the public, as it is a crew room. Incidentally, this is not where the original Leven station was - which was not closed by Beeching incidentally, who had indeed recommended the retention of it, plus the St Andrews and Tayport branches, as all had significant commuter traffic at that time! There were quite a number of other routes that Beeching recommended the retention of and so it is quite wrong to assume that all the 1960s closures were because of him. Both the stub-ends of the former through Fife Coast Railway from Thornton Junction to Leven and from Leuchars Junction to St Andrews, were closed by the Government of the day for political reasons, during 1969. You pronounce Methil correctly - with the emphasis on the meth part, by the way!
Something totally irrelevant but (I was born with a cleft palate) and one of my speech therapists a miss Fobister came from Burnt Island but until now i didn’t have a clue as to where it is.
Lovely video! Nice to see a few rare liveries as well!
Thanks mate!

What’s that intro you use for every platform
I don't have an intro
Platform 2 at leven is finished
Good to know!

After like 14 months
😢why come to leven ... Or anywhere in fife that's brutal l.
every platform london terminals would be a long video
I wouldn't do a day doing all the terminals in a day. I'd do one terminal and a line that goes out of it
Something totally irrelevant but (I was born with a cleft palate) and one of my speech therapists a miss Fobister came from Burnt Island but until now i didn’t have a clue as to where it is.
That's an interesting fact!
