    The 071s had a great career of over 40 years ,sad to say by the time the 201s arrived in the early 90s .Diesel locos we’re already being phased out or used for freight .Sad to see many 201s not even 30 years old sitting rotting on the sidings of inchicore

    Could never understand why the 201s did not share the same corporate livery as the coaches they hauled. The 071s matched up perfectly including tippex, but the 201s were not even the same colour orange as the coaches. Why were the 201s not the same livery as the 071s. It seems illogical that didn't match the coach livery, mk3 or mk2. Even the cravens matched with the 071s and baby GMs.
