George, this is one of the best interviews I've seen with k.d.! And I've seen....A LOT...lol! You asked incredibly thought provoking questions, interesting questions...SO GOOD! You rock, George! If Roy Orbison was a tree...then k.d. lang is a ROCK. Her presence is so grounding, strong yet gentle. And humble. Look at how many times k.d. replied with 'I don't know'. She doesn't pretend, she doesn't act like she has all the answers. She's searching...just like the rest of us. k.d. is a national treasure!

i love this as a demonstration of kd's character. she really went from a what/who i eat joke, to an open hearted contemplation of like, the nature of our human soul. she's so real.

George: I'm only a few minutes into this interview> FIRST: YOU are awesome as an interviewer, love you! over many many years. I grew up with KD. She always fascinated me as an icon, singer and woman/gay. Things I never new about (I was a child/younger/ and not gay). She definitely taught me shizz. things to think about. Anyhooo... we are all relatively close in age... if KD is struggling... I comiserate.... our age.... questioning life, politics, power, money, aliens...... this world has it coming.... info and change.... xo keep up the great work. You look better btw. love, love, love you xo

I'm perplexed about the addition warning of "be considerate and think twice before sharing". This is the first time I have ever seen this. Please clarify George. xo

I like and admire both of these people - but I am wondering what is the gun poster in the background all about?

Looks to be an Afghanistan war rug... weavers from there at the time began to incorporate weapons & other instruments of war into their regular imagery due to the familiarity of such items in daily life and their work took off in the west as a popular imported home decor item. An interesting if sad phenomenon, you can read about it more online if you’re curious
