not many self driving buses. And if there are reliable self driving buses it would cost billions more to upgrade or buy new buses then it would to give them a raise.

@@scottshields250 highways you don't use is not relevant to the topic. And you are probably the same person upset over the trillion dollar deficit Trudeau rang up so how much do you think it will up again if we start swapping buses all over the country. If you refer to only inside Toronto then it would still need federal and provincial funding because there is no way that it Toronto could do it on their own. Toronto can't even afford to expand or build new subways or LRT without funding from other levels of govt. No way they will be able to fund it on their own. It will eventually filter back to you the taxpayer.....then you will be bleeding heart.

@pacman3556 It's absolutely relevant!.. your words.. "still need provincial and federal funding" so yes.. my tax dollars cover roads and hwys that I will never use. And they seem to always go to Toronto because they don't pay enough taxes themselves and and are too soft to accept toll hwys.

Might as well shutdown every business in the downtown if this strike happens, even commuting by car would be futile with the Gardiner construction and all the streets in the downtown core.
