THANK YOU!!! Exactly what I was looking for. The 2nd picture with the rocks in the foreground was evidence to me that FF really makes the difference. Buying a D750 later this week, cant wait.
SMC PENTAX-A 1:2 50mm The lens coating looks purple / pink . The adapter I got was on Amazon . Compared to the kit lens from son it was like night and day . I made a video about the stars about a month ago
Not a fair test at all. If not shot on the same night and one of the cameras is astro-modified, you could barely make this more unfair. This sounds very harsh - apologies, but at least I hope it's constructive. Having said that, it's your channel and you can post anything you want, so thanks for sharing.
Thank you for your constructive criticism. The idea of this video was to show that you can also take good astrophotos with an APS-C camera and that you don't always have to go for full frame. I also wanted to show the differences between the two cameras.
@@hjones451 thank you very much for your comment and your subscription. 👍 Currently I’ve been selling a Samyang 24mm F1.8, if you’re interested to buy one 😉
It will work, but you must raise the ISO very high. If you are searching for good astro lenses for APC cameras, I have a few videos on my channel. Maybe this will help you too. 👍 I have also a lot more videos about Astro photography on my channel. 😉
what company did your astro modification? once astro modified the Raw images appears very red. what are you adjusting in Ps or lightroom to eliminate the red background?
I have modified my camera in Germany. The red raw files are normal, but you can adjust it in Lightroom afterwards. You have to to adjust the white balance in Lightroom. Normally it’s the white balance 3300 and you will get the normal colors.

Thank you very much for your comment. 👍 You will have a lot of fun with your new camera. 😉
You do realise this was an unfair test, because the aperture on the APS-C camera (A6100) was kept low, whereas the full frame camera was kept high.
Less glass the better .
I stuck a 1972 1:2 50mm on my sony alpha 6100 and got perfect stars . The camera could see more than my eyes
Thanks for your comment 👍 wow really? Which lens/brand did you use? I’ve to try it too. Sounds very interesting. 😉

how good will be a sigma 18-50 f2.8 on a Sony A6700 for astro phtography?

No point showing pictures if not shot sidebyside ...
