Trade and Taiwan were the focus of talks involving China, Japan and South Korea in Seoul on May 26-27, 2024. However, observers said the first three-way summit in more than four years was unlikely to yield significant results amid growing geopolitical tensions.

We have lived in harmony in East Asia for thousands of years. East Asia belongs to East Asians. With the rise of China, I believe that in the near future we will see the unification of the Korean Peninsula and the normalization of the Japanese state. The people of East Asia are now living a harder life than the others. The diligence of East Asians deserves a better future.

Three ministers in Hatoyama's Cabinet have had "car accidents" and "committed suicide" because of their promotion of the Asian Free Trade Area (FTA), friendship with China, and East Asian integration. Abe did the same thing in his first term, had his office searched by the Special Search Department and stepped down. As the leader of the LDP, Abe continued to push for "national normalisation" even after stepping down, and we all know how that ended for him. With the dollar raising interest rates, capital flowed out of Japan and the yen depreciated sharply. But the Bank of Japan did not use foreign exchange to buy back the yen, and even used what little foreign exchange it had left to buy U.S. debt. This is clearly not explainable by economics. Japan used to have a developed aviation industry such as Mitsubishi, and a developed semiconductor industry such as Toshiba and Hitachi. 1982, the US government arrested the ministers and employees of Hitachi and Mitsubishi on the charge of industrial espionage, and on 30 June 1987, several US legislators demanded that the import of Toshiba products be banned, and they took turns to raise a long-handled sledgehammer and smashed it against a Toshiba brand radio.

Japan is being controlled by the US and wants a way out. Only way out is to get help from China and South Korea. It makes no sense for Japan to buy US debts when their economy is failing and their birthdates are dangerously low. This is very concerning because the US doesn’t care about any other countries unless they’re a rival that threatens the western power and what’s ironic is that I’m from the US.

Waste of time. Only China is an actual independent sovereign nation. The other two are American vassal states where their foreign policy is made in Washington for them, and their leaders needs permission from the boss in Washington to make any real decisions. Just look at how both Japan and South Korea make decisions against their own self interests in favour of US interests. Especially economically. Both Japan and South Korea have stagnant economies and desperately need access to Chinas 1.5 billion people market that now has the worlds largest middle class. Not to mention that an FTA between the three would make them the largest and most powerful trading bloc in the world. But Japan and South Korea are both not allowed to do so because its not in American interests. And America specifically wants both Japan and South Korea to be openly hostile to China despite the fact that China is the largest trading partner of both, and their economies heavily depend on access to the Chinese market now. The three could easily make progress on many issues without the interference of a third party. And an FTA would one of equals as it is proposed. Where as what Japan and South Korea have with America is not a relationship of equals. Its very clear who the boss is.

Plus the fact that they would be impossible to deal with (go look up the history of the South Korean and Chinese special economic zones that were set up in NK.....both ended in disaster). It's not difficult to understand why North Korea is not involved. Mongolia was not invited either. Probably because they are poor.

Japan was also helped by the US after the war, who implemented pretty generous war reparations.
Both of them are threatened by the Chinese puppet state of North Korea, and of course China itself, who has no respect for the decisions of people from different countries. Otherwise they wouldn’t be shamelessly trying to get Taiwan back, as well as the 9 dash line issue of course.
