  • New valve spring compressor tools with metal reinforcement are available now!!!
Order from our shop using this link:
    crunchysann.co...
For those outside America, order from our eBay store using the link below and select international shipping option during checkout:
    www.ebay.com/i...
    Description:
If you've ever tried to replace the valve seals or keepers on a 3.7L V6 or 4.7L V8 engine, you must've realized it's nearly impossible using other cheaper special tools.
Our special tool allows you to:
    - Quickly and easily compress/decompress, remove and install valve springs, keeper and seals in a very controlled manner. You no longer need to strain your arms trying to hold the spring compressed while trying to install keepers.
    - Allows you to keep the valve springs compressed for extended durations while you take your time re-installing and aligning the valve keepers.
    - No need to pull your engine from the car. Just remove the brake booster as you normally would have, to access the rear cylinders.
Works on most early Chrysler / Jeep / Dodge 3.7L V6 and 4.7L V8 NON HEMI engines including:
    1999-2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee
    2000-2007 Dodge Dakota
    2000-2009 Dodge Durango
    2002-2007 Dodge Ram 1500
    2006-2009 Jeep Commander
    2007-2009 Chrysler Aspen
    2006-2007 Mitsubishi Raider
NOTE: The tool you receive will be the metal-reinforced version, not the yellow piece shown in the video. They look and function the same way.
    Description:
Fix blue fumes coming out of your Dodge or Jeep exhaust. If you've ever used the Dodge special tools to replace the valve stem seals or keepers, you must've realized it's nearly impossible to do this using those special tools while the engine is still in the car. Good luck doing this by yourself with only 2 hands :). I made the special tool in the video to allow you to not only remove the valve springs, keepers, and stems, but also re-install them all by yourself and can be done in a few hours.
    Additional info:
    - It's easier to use than the other specialty tool on the market.
    - Works on most early 2013 and older Chrysler / Jeep Dodge 3.7L and 4.7L NON HEMI engines.
    - You may need to temporarily move the brake booster out of the way to access the 2 rear right cylinders on a dodge ram.
    - You will need to remove the rocker arms (a simple flat head screw driver is all it takes).
Keep in mind if this is your first time doing this repair, you'll need:
    - To remove the rocker arms (a simple flat head screw driver is all it takes)
    - Air compressor (at least 90psi)
    - large plumber's wrench
    - tweezers
    - Magnetic pickup tool
    - Vaseline or some gear grease

My husband used this tool to replace valve seals on my Jeep Liberty. He began using it but after trying to remove the 5th one the bolt would not move it was stripped and he was unable to remove it after trying different ways he ended having to use a hacksaw to cut it off carefully. We were so upset & dissaponted so I emailed CrunchySann and told them what happened. They replied next day. We expected tthis conpany to give us a hard time, however, to our surprise they immediately sent new one. We were so relieved. Once received my husband continued the job, however, this time he was very careful using it slowly and used graphite on the bolt between every 2 valve seals removed. We are excited & relieved that he was able to complete the job & now I have my car back thanks to the great customer service this company provides. I absolutely recommend this tool as this company stands 100% behind their product.

I was in the process of designing a valve spring removal tool for my 4.7L Ram 1500 when I came across your video. I ended up making mine very similar to yours and I can confirm that it works perfectly. I used PLA as that's all I had. 30% infill with 6 upper, lower and side layers for the main part. For the cylinder shaped part, I originally did 30% infill but that was insufficient and bolt started crushing the PLA inside the hole. I switched to 100% fill. Material usage increase was minimal and it only took another 10 minutes to print since it's such a small part. Not a single bit of crush after that.
My truck has been burning oil on start up so I figured it was the seals. Sure enough, the seals weren't even touching the valve stems anymore. I completed the passenger side yesterday and will continue with the driver side today. This tool made removal and installation a simple one man job.
I'm replacing all the lash adjusters while I have it apart. The upper adjusters were all good but the lower ones were all collapsed. Not sure if this is just an coincidence or if it's typical of this engine.

Who ever buys that tool, holy shit 125$? I feel bad for you suckers. Online the same type of tool for a 3.7 and 4.7 Chrysler engines just built different and looks different and about 90% of the cost of this one... It does the same thing, cups around the camshaft and presses down the valve springs, all you use for this one is your regular socket wrench hooks to the side and as you apply pressure it compresses..... This one also comes with an attachment to make it a rocker arm remover. 👍

    • @Crunchysann
      @Crunchysann  2 года назад

The main difference with our tool is the fact that you can easily use our tool without having to remove your entire engine from the car, all by yourself. It will not slip and fly off like the lower cost tools you mention. Our tool holds the spring compressed so you can use your hands to add/readjust keepers: Try doing that with any other tool designed for this job on the engines you mentioned, while the engine is still in the engine bay :). We do still appreciate your feedback.
