Deserved far more than No 116 on the Billboard 150. Bought it on day of release in the UK. Played it constantly at my club & mobile dj work back then. One of my ALL TIME faves of ALL TIME. Happy clappy sums it up perfectly. Great post.
Classy comment, classy song. Remember the good times. I'll put this into perspective, this is one of those great songs that i put my hearing aids onto max. Bloody great!
Never been,, two leftish feet , almost. But watch enough of this uplifting music to recognise lots of people in this. Something I need to address. ,,! Thank you anyone and all that load this, have my own favourites also that are one my watch later. Soul girl is one🙏, Sal and pops 💕 and plenty others. Love from the south..X
I want to get up and dance when i hear this music. I started going to discos ( as we called the clubs then) in 1970 that played the northern soul fell in love and have never looked back. I have a box full of records (including this one) up in my loft but can't play them anymore, no turntable, plus I'm to old and disabled now to dance. Listen to them on U Tube when i can still love it.
There is NO - other form of dance or movement that comes anywhere near to the grace & majesty of Northern Soul Dancing !. At 62 and ****Ed with a severe type of arthritis, I get the same pleasure & enjoyment WATCHING it as I did dancing it !
Am 60 myself Alan and still love to watch people dance to what we use to dance to although I can't dance like I did back then the music still gives me tingles and memories and smiles.. KTF
What a bummer for you. I tried to dance it, never could reach that smooth effortless moves of so many on these clips. A fellow fan of all Northern Soul. My own favourite being Marvin Gaye 'this love starved heart of mine'. 👍
@@charliebktf I'm 64 and I can still dance like that.fortunately it's at home on my own..illness and weight gain I look like a space hopper when I clock myself in the mirror..wouldn't wish that on anyone.🤣😂🤣.godbless all..ktf.x❤️
😊❤😊❤. I love Northern Soul. The dancing is so nice. I tried to do the steps. But I. Couldn't. Too hard for me. I saw this excellent video at. 10. 49. April. 1. Lovely.
Some dancers move smoother than others - but it’s all about getting up & moving, your steps don’t have to be perfect just enjoy the music the way you want to - KTF
Certainly beats emiinen ..feel sorry for this generations music .w E were so lucky .kids were not comitting crime when they were dancing on a saturday night .great stuff .paul from oz..mittagong Nsw
I was torch n wigan !! Not comitting crime erh? Chemists, cars burglary dealing think that is the keadt, eg taxin dwalers etc it was den of BUT WOULDNY HAVE BEEN ANY WHERE ELSE, HAD MATES DO TIME N OTHERS THAT THE TIMES WERE TOO MUCH AND TOPPED SELF, the times were great but dint attemot to sanitise it was wirking clas and 70 hooligan it WAS hard
It was like that in the south as well. No different. We were dancing to music like this back in the mid to late sixties. I’d hate to think that the north was getting all the credit for promoting American r n b/soul and Tamla etc, cos they weren’t!
Hi John, at present I couldn't tell you but the clip will be within my editing software and I will try make time to find the details for you, I often have clips sent from friends and people active on the northern soul scene. It may well be a cut from a larger clip as they most often are, I will do my best to find out for you, regards Charlie
It doesn't matter who you are, where you are, how you look and even how you dance, the main thing is, you feel love in music and life ❤
OMG takes me so far back to the Twisted Wheel , brings a tear to my eye those days are gone but never forgotten
This music brings joy to my heart..so wish for those days ❤️
Too right x
Make those days happen everyday😀😀
Cannot beat the joy, I was there back in the day, bless
Once you let Northern Soul into your life,, it never let's you go, so to all my Soul brothers and sisters just keep on keeping on

You can soon tell those who can dance 'correctly' and those who just shuffle 'dad-style' from one foot to another.
Where was the cover photo and the clip from about 1min. 38 -1 min.45 . taken please ?
