and for those of you who are complaining about his English, he started studying English when he was around forty four. he is a very hard worker, so please don't mock him.
most ppl afraid to speak another language in public, but i think he is brave that he was doing his best without caring what other ppl think about his English...:) he is becoming better English speaker.. anyway I love his acting!
I'd prefer if he'd speak Japanese and we just had a translator so they could accurately articulate his position on the film. Cause I just get this vibe from him that he is a well versed kind of person and his limited experience with English only holds back what he could really express in terms of his acting experience, motivations etc.
Yeah his English is quite limited but then again it's not that hard to understand what he's trying to say. Still I think his English is better than other "international" Hollywood stars like Penelope Cruz or Jackie Chan.
If you're saying that he purposely speaks broken English, I agree. Lol. It's probably what he thinks of English and Americans, lolz. But who can blame him? His line in the movie probably could've been tailored to state, "The arrogance of Americans, is in thinking that nature is in your control, and not the other way around." hahahahahahaaa! JK, love you guys!
