queensbury holy trinity 8 bells but only 6 were rung

now this is queensbury holy trinity church bell tower where the bells are all very very closed in couldnt hardley see then but it was only a small door where the 8 bells are some of the clappers are so old and rusty brown some were green painted the 4 clock faces are just up above the loverd arched windows are by stuart mills bellringing tours around west yorkshire calderdale churches very very loud up here but i had my ear defenders on like i always do its always nice to ring at a diffrent tower for a change on thursday eve practice nights you have got meltham st bartholomews leeds minster ossitte barwick in Elmet near leeds rothwell holy trinity york st wilfrids carverley st wilfrids and queensbury holy trinity tickhill st mary doncaster longwood st marks huddersfield 30 of may 2024 on a thursday eve practice at qeensbury church so it reminds me when i came to visit and tour the church and to have a couple of rings it was just rounds on call changes on 8 bells the big tenor 8th bell is working perfect now no problems friends thank you for ringing 8 bells and getting the 8th bell mended by stuart mills the Heiviest bellringer uk sorry about hailey hill all souls not having the bells ringing again its a real shame for us all nobody want to look after the church and they think its unsafe to ring there its an 8 bell tower 25cwt 8 to many complaints about the noise of the bells this is why its so hard for me to find churches to ring at around here in calderdale theres only about 3 or 4 churches around here theres halifax minster or queensbury holy trinity haily hill is a redundant church not owned by halifax parish its somebody else that looks after haily hill all souls and theres northowram as well and lightcliffe st matthews church near me i think calderdale is the smallest eria for churches to ring at elland and driglington st pauls no band to ring yes they are both 8 bell towers means they have both got a peal of 8 bells now as we get towards huddersfield for churches towers we have got lindly almoundbury all hallows Emley st michaels huddersfield church new mill holmfirth holy trinity armitage bridge longwood st marks church 9 diffrent churches around the huddersfield eria marsden st bartholomews being repeard and tested to see how the bells are no regular band at the moment still repearing the bells all 10 bells meltham st bartholomews yes
