I was a little kid in 1979 and my pop took me into the city and it was my first time ever seeing punks and I thought they were awesome. There were dudes with massive pink Mohawks and dressed in leather with big kickass boots. I was 4 years old and I knew that I was going to grow up to be a punk!
My brother has just passed, and he was an massive Sid viscous fan and the sex pistols. When we was kids mid 80s he would make me listen to Sid and punk. I hated it then. But now mean so so much and is my life totally. RIP Big bro. Always keep you and your records close ❤️
Relationship of 9 years ended this year and at first I was sad and in a dark place….. I’ve regained my grip on my emotions and now I am just angry! Not with her for cheating on me, but angry at myself for letting it get to me so hard. So it was in my anger a new version of myself emerged…. Stronger, a little colder, but a better newer version of myself. I am 39 and have never heard any Sex Pistols song or even knew who Sid Viscious was and yet somehow this song FOUND ME!!!! Let the anger make you stronger…..for they say a sad man is not a strong man. RIPSV

Sinatra bollocks? I like them both but surely you're not suggesting that Sid is a legend but Frank isn't? Frank had a 60 year career Sid had a 6 month career. Frank sold millions of albums, Sid didn't even play on never mind the bollocks. Frank was a multimillionaire, Sid committed suicide in a bedsit. Legend? Stretching it a bit
I'm on about my way by sid sorry better tune than Sinatra yes Sinatra was a legend didn't like the fucker though everyone to there own rather listen to the pissing dooleys
Even Noel Gallagher said the only major album by the pistols never mind the bollocks was major and he even said that one album alone was better than what they made
@@kevinwayne259 I’ve loved this song for years of course ! But Jordan Peterson mentioned what a masterpiece it is in an interview with Chris Williamson on his modern wisdom podcast. I’m consistently impressed with Jordan’s taste in music, and I’m a fucking Major music snob 😆 like if you like garbage like Taylor Swift you can fuck right off because you have no soul , am I right ? Yes or yes ?
Then with respect, you're missing the point. It's punk. When I listen to opera I don't understand it, but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy and appreciate the performance. Sid was a very important figurehead for how we look back at that era. He was a victim of mclarens greed, a weak and vulnerable young man, who craved fame but didn't know how to deal with it when it came along. He needed help but was largely ignored when the bubble burst. Addiction is an awful disease. Rip sid

no offense but can one not attach anime to our childhood´s cultures and our later cultures ( sid, kurt etc ) ?
