France is so spectacular, is in a league all it's own, Paris is spectacular & Montmartre is so spectacular!! I have stayed there numerous times & I fell in love the first day I arrived there. Each time I plan to return to France/Paris, I will always stay @ Montmartre. It's a wonderful Parisian arrondissement, it really is & contrary to popular belief, it's not dangerous, dirty or overrated. On the absolute contrary! France & Paris specifically, do cop a negative wrap @ times, but in truth, France & Paris could never be overrated, for France is an incredibly beautiful & wonderful country & Paris, is such an amazing city. So much so, that each time I'm in Paris, I always hear people who say they didn't want to visit, are now so glad they did & they've even fallen in love with this beautiful city & it's not hard to see why. Paris does have that special something & it does possess the "wow" factor. No doubt about this.
Totally agree 👍🏻 Like any mega cities, there are always good and bad neighbourhoods or incidents. I’ve been to Paris a few times and each time I explored a different area. It never failed to give me pleasant surprises.
I agree! I had my first holiday in Paris and Hotel was in Montmartre. Great place, plenty of streets with places to eat, shops, etc. Street artist area great and a very easy going atmosphere there and frankly same in a lot of Paris. My advice for anyone (reasonably capable of walking and climbing steps) is buy a ticket at Metro for your chosen number of days you wish to move around Paris, as it is a big city and renowned sites are spread over the City. Plenty of Metro points of access and your ticket also will work on trams, ordinary trains and the Funiculaire at hill to Sacre Coeur Basilica. Book all your tickets online for Eiffel Tower, Louvre, etc, while in Paris using your smart phone and use maps on your phone to find your way around the city. Louvre is massive, so be warned you need to be selective in what you want to look around there and need hours there. Expect an Airport like security and long queues at Eiffel Tower, Louvre etc. I definitely want to stay at Montmartre again.
Wonderful short video thanks I appreciate u. N I’m French too just reside in the u. S. Whenever I return home I do the tourist sightings. 😝 I love it too.
York is my favourite city in England, worth a visit. Norwich is the biggest hidden gem, with one of the best-preserved Tudor streets, Elm Hill along with the Cathedral with The Skeleton from the 1600s.
This is "not" regarding England or York! It has absolutely nothing to do with England. If you want England, then there are plenty of England you tube channels abound, but this isn't it. It's regarding a stunning city named Paris & an even more amazing arrondissement named, Montmartre!
@@INTUITIVENORSK2303 You're confused. The Channel is called the erica in london. There are multiple videos related to travel all over the world. Not just France.
Charles Aznavour… Je vous parle d’un temps que les moins de 20 ans ne peuvent pas connaitre… “I'm talking to you about a time that those under 20 cannot know..” Say that again ! My grandmother lived from 1947 to 1989 on the Butte Montmartre, my father from 1947 to 2013, me from 1962 to 2022. She was a gallery owner, my father was a painter of Montmartre, I am a painter from Montmartre. Lots of tourists, I preferred Montmartre of Maurice Utrillo, than that of Emilie Poulain… when you speak to Jeannette (la blanchisseuse des peintres) who washed Picasso’s clothes and knew Maurice Utrillo. Le Lapin à Gilles ? Rue Saint Rustique ? le Saint Pierre ? Le château des Brouillards ? Etc
Thank you for all the bits of history you gave us about Montmartre and regions
Very glad you enjoyed this Jean!

sorry , may I correct the pronunciaton of Sacré-Cœur. it's[sakʀekœʀ] not [sakʀekox]
wasn't Moulin de blute-fin painted by Van Gogh and not Picasso?
The painting of le Moulin de la Galette was painted by Van Gogh and not Picasso.

C’est vrai. Comme une visiteuse, je trouve que c’est trop chouette ☺️
SAKRE HEEUUR
Sacre Coeur.
Inspiring neighborhood! Accept Jesus :)
Why even speak English if you are going to speak it like this?
Because other people wouldn’t understand French or whatever language she speaks????
Why even comment if you're gonna comment this?
