Jeff is such an interesting character in the world of NBA basketball.
Saying people are "underrated" has become so over done and is starting to get a bit "cringey" when used for anyone who doesn't get talked about all the time so I wont go that route with my comment.
People who watched basketball during the 90s OR historians of the game have a very strong appreciation for Jeff and he deservedly is considered one of the GOAT when it comes to shooting.
He is somewhere in the 38-48 range as "Best" shooting guards of all time. He would have benefited greatly to the pace and space era and would be a great player in today's game (Offensively at least).
His game AND his look reminds me of Austin Reaves. Austin is a bit bigger and has a better handle BUT Jeff is a better shooter (IMO top 20 of all time) and passer.
Jeff also has a much better off ball game while both of them are negative defenders.
Jeff showed he had the passing chops to play point guard and did so very effectively in Philly for one season.
What makes Reaves so good is his handle which allows him to get whenever he wants on the court. If Jeff had that he would have been even more effective but if Reaves had Jeff's shot or vision he would be an all star as well.
