I remember when I started watching the Showtime Lakers back in the eighties...Out would come Magic, and Kareem, and Jamal Wilkes, and James Worthy, and...Kurt Rambis? I used to wonder, "what the hell is this guy doing out there?" Well, you didn't have to watch for long to realize what is was about. Every team back then had a guy who was a hustler and an enforcer. For the Lakers, that guy was Kurt Rambis.

I watched this game on WWOR channel 9 NY as a 12 year old kid. I was so distraught, as BK was my favorite Knick and still is. Watching this, I just wish he would have shot the ball instead of passing it inside, which lead to the steal and fast break the other way that he tore his ACL on. So sad watching this nearly 40 years later, and how BK never played with Ewing. The stupid Knicks FO gave up on Bernard and let him go. He showed he still had a lot left in the tank with the Bullets.
