Simon Pegg is the best example of a celeb who didn't let fame get to his head, I met him backstage at a Coldplay concert in 2015, I was 14/15 at the time, nicest guy, super genuine and just lovely to be around.
So many in jokes in the larger running joke which it makes it brilliant. I bought an electric cheese knife for my wife's birthday. She keeps asking me to smell it but I am worried it might prune my nose hairs. Is it powered by a nokia battery ? That'another worry.
Coogan is probably the greatest british comic to have ever lived, dont know why they haven't made a statue of him as Alan and put it up in Norwich city centre (the pedestrianised part of course)
Hes probably up there, of the famous comedians. But there are many great writers, actors, etc. John Cleese is always at the top, and Oscar Wilde isnt far behind. After that youve got writers from Graham Chapman and the other Pythons, through Richard Curtis to Richard Ayoade. Atkinson, John Sullivan, Gervaise and Merchant, and others. With panel show improv theres Paul Merton and wit world champion Lee Mack. Even David Mitchell is doing great work. Some might even say Charlie Chaplin or Spike Milligan or Laurel and Hardy for their influence, Peter Cook and Dudley Moore, Eric Morcambe, or comedy film writers and actors. And thats just some of the famous ones. He's excellent, but this is the best comedy nation in the western world. Saying hes the best ever is a big statement. Just writing out of respect to English culture.
Coogan is beyond hilarious & intelligent and his comedic genius shines here just like in one of my favorite comedic creations of all-time: I am Alan Partridge!
Joke about Sunny Delight being oil based is brilliant.. and very unique to the time.. I remember at the time there was a lot of criticism cos SD contained vegetable oils.
That is not being fair to be fair. Noel Gallagher has done some of the entertaining, memorable interviews in the history of interviews. You don't have to have like him to agree with that. He's a very funny bloke. This is why his segment was so short here. He often upstaged the host. He's up his own arse now but he is very talented man.
4 Fun-sized bags of maltesers, a 6 pack of Vimto light, A book by jeffrey archer (which one is un-important:READNon-portant?:) and the 1996 Christmas special of taggart featuring the lovely kirstie brannigan. Most importantly i'd also take an RAF Chinook mobile attack helicopter (fully insured to gold level of course) and escape off the island. Oh..you wanted an album...Best of Ultravox
Absolutely brilliant. You can beat the Irish comedian. Of course Noel also use to come home to Mayo in the west of Ireland as a young lad to visit their granny’s every summer. They were crazy and bright even then.🙏🇮🇪

Great satire!
@@GOFFMEISTER because of dn?
ahaha that was after he got off the booze. He was a total wanker prior to that.
did he have a bowl of custard on him?
Gitty, He told me he thought you were a tosser.
Simon keeping a straight face and going along with the joke is amazing.
It's Richard Madeley, it really is.
Absolutely, he is doing an amazing job.
Alan Partridge is a fine example of subtle yet complex British comedy
I love the fact he told Noel to "stay there" at the end and he did. Can't be many people he obeys like that. Brilliant.
His brother would have stormed out..!!
That little smirk from Simon at “I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter” is great, I feel like he almost lost it a bit
We compromised on Seal. Fecking genius.
Steele eye span!
It’s electric. The atmosphere not the cheese knife 😂😂😂

Clearly a missed comedy opportunity to head into non-Newtonian fluids, and how viscosity changes may make custard unsafe as a safe sex lubricant.
Let's say for instance I'm a Gayman lol

Yeh agreed. He turned put years later to be a great actor
Had plenty of practice in *spaced* TV show. What a show!
They've probably rehearsed it a thousand times.

God, Coogan is so good in this era, isn't he?
harvey halloway he still is! #StanAndOllie #LaurelAndHardy
Steve Coogan is a very intelligent comedy genius.
Andrew Smith His comedy has always been gold. I don't like his political stance though but this isn't about that.
What is his political stance?
@@andrewsmith2757 I'm not going to sour the air here and turn it into something it isn't.

Why has it taken me this long to discover how hilarious Steve Coogan is???
You were probably too busy trying to think up an hilarious user name for on here.
Shame you wasted all that time......
Coogan
was a comedian before you were of enough to realise? Are you young?
On a heavier note,I have herpes (cold sores) and I'm not a black.
Cuz your a fuckin spazzz.
Spastic

"24 hour party people" was Alan's best performance.
He wasn't Alan Partridge in that movie
Steve Coogan* and I totally agree!!

You should have put "Alan Partridge Interviews Simon Pegg (with Noel Gallagher)"
Or "Alan Partridge talks to Simon Pegg about gay sex (with Noel Gallagher)"
Dan H
lol right on
Saying it that way was for comedic effect. Some of us got it 🤣
Matteo Prezioso exactly where is noel

My god Simon Pegg is so deadpan the whole time - how does he do it?
It's his job'! He's an actor!
"I Can't Believe It's Not Butter...Sunny Delight..." 😅
I seen partridge interviewing Roger Daltrey, praising his music saying " The Who are like The Kinks for welders"
WTF 🤣😂😂
Same way Sweet were like T. Rex for bricklayers.
Fantastic!! Thanks for sharing
i genuinely couldn't handle it at the end when 'custard's ok' came up. comedy gold
"Off the Pegg", a TV show where Simon Pegg hunts Britains tailors for off the peg suits for the working man who has no time for fittings.
Sounds so wonderfully boring that it'd be perfect for british tv.
I'd watch that😂😂
"I can't believe it's not butter"

Sunny Delight.

the absolute vacuousness of his shit questions to Noel.

Genuine excellence in each second.

Tripping the light fantastic.. I'm sweating..
'So, how do you relax? And I dont mean poppers..'
keep it light!
I loves it when Alan uses the word "dunkie", as almost a little throwaway word when referring to a condom 🎧🎵🎧🎧🎵🔥
To be fair that was the most interesting noel gallagher interview ever.

I actually used to mix them up all of the time when I was younger so glad somebody else picked up on that
