All parts in this build were purchased from the Stroud Ecklund Staryard, Deimos Staryard and my own outpost's ship builder landing pad. This was a rough one to build considering its size and Starfield's wonky ship interior layouts, not to mention the lack of tall vertical parts for the Autumn's diamond shape, but I'm pretty proud of the outcome. @@gamingaddiction4 It's definitely possible, I'll add it to my list of ships to look at possibly recreating! As far as ship parts, the number of parts you have access to is tied to your level. I was around level 20 when I made this build.
@vxsemperfi2676 So, from what I've found, more parts get unlocked from the higher ranks of the ship design and piloting skills. Though there are specific pieces only sold at the stations listed, but most you can put together at your own landing platform. You'd just have to throw some stuff in place of what you need to fly to the stations to get the remaining pieces
Thank you so much for doing this. It's so surreal to me to see this ship come to life in Starfield and once I built it thanks to your video I felt so proud. I personally hope one day you can make the Retribution carrier ship from the CoD Infinite Warfare campaign!
So everyone who has a problem or wanting to build this this ship can be fully built at the very first place he lists stroud the whole ship but from there once you build it there you can fly it to the others if you wish and upgrade but does include taking it apart to upgrade
Halo ships are tough to build in SF, this alongside some of the others I have seen come by is excellent and deserving to be on that list of nice Halo builds in SF. Thanks for sharing!
Im putting on the finishing touches on my own with some changes but imagine multiplayer charon class vs covenant cruisers and how meny charon class ships would be out there
@@VantaGenesis can confirm, the Autumn is an absolute beast! Had to raise the difficulty because the space battles were too easy. Would love to see you do the Spirit of Fire or Condor next!
@@Smartjoker77 Spirit Of Fire would be awesome, but I'm not sure it would really work in Starfield due to the way the landing gears work. Ships kind of have to be flat ish on the bottom, and the Spirit Of Fire's bow would basically have to get the bottom chopped off to work.
Thanks for the content! I followed your tutorial at my outpost landing bay; had to use hull a modules as filler for the 3x3 and 3x2 habs. Gonna have to go to the staryards to get the proper habs, the hulls brought me right up to the module limit.
This will be great for my Captain Keyes character once I get the money and levels needed to build this. Nice to see you can do an underslung cockpit with the viking design, but it would be nice if it was a bit close in design to the game.
I agree about the cockpit, I chose the original cockpit for the shape but it was bottom-entry only, so it required a hab to be placed underneath. The Viking was the only way to get a large cockpit in a more accurate location, but I'm sure we'll be in good hands once the modders step in with modding tools next year.
I find Taiyos weapon spine useful to fill the "notch" with guns to emulate the MAC gun, though for me I put the torpedo style missile launchers (the ones with the lowest rate of fire are the torpedo style, extremely slow firing but i managed to cripple that Shroudbearer with a pair of shots) and the rest as disruptor turrets top and bottom
You have to admit at one point, that you enjoy reading out Loud the Names of the Parts and their Companies as if Custom building Starships would be a normal thing in our Timeline, hehe. I mean. I enjoy listening to it.
She does! I scrapped the mantis and used her for it! Turns out even if you scrap the ship the perk it has to scare spacers stays within its “ship” slot!
I know i'm kinda late to the video and by kinda i mean really late but also one thing you didn't mention was that for the cockpit section in front of the Deimos Computer Core 2x1 is the HopeTech Pipes-Fore. I didn't see it in the video or the comments. If they were there my apologies.

The game isn't modded or altered in any way, I'm not entirely sure why you might be getting this error but I will definitely look into it when I get the chance.
how do you build a ship when you have to move around from shipyard to shipyard to buy parts? considering that the shipbuilder won't allow you to have an incomplete ship?
you go to the shipyard that produces the big hab pieces (in this case Deimos) and then build the ship out using the deimos hull block to proxy anything structural made by stroud. get the ship spaceworthy and then fly it to the other manufacturers to replace your proxies and add the cosmetic pieces.
How is this giant Halcyon Class cruiser less expensive than my Forward Unto Dawn Charon Class frigate??? Now I got to build one of these! except I'm probably going to swap out a lot of the Habs for my preferred models because I'm all about interior decoration. I hate the exterior look of Nova Galactic but I love the interior looks.
Okay after spending a couple hours building this on my high-level character (with funds to spare), I have decided that this is going to be my new flagship! my high level first playthrough character will utilize the FFG-201 Forward Unto Dawn while my new character I just started the other day, will utilize the Pillar of Autumn in conjunction with the Pelican gunship class A ship that I designed. Too bad the interior is a freaking maze lmfao 😂
I know you said its personal preference but surely the Deimo's Bridge cockpit would be a more accurate depiction of a space cruiser. Also it would have been cool if you did the signature Key's turret barrel roll technique since it was primarily a turret based cruiser 😅
I'm glad you enjoyed, and I'll take note of the suggestion! My reason for not doing full interior tours right now is that my cinematic intro usually covers everything in a shorter time, but maybe I'll have to shake up the formula :)
Looks like a Mega Bloks Version of the Pillar of Autumn, but I guess without the Modkit it is not possible in any other way currently. Still pretty impressive.
Unfortunately many of Starfield's ship parts have an extremely modular look to allow a wide variety of designs with such a small pool of parts , but I think we'll be in good hands when modders get their hands on official modding tools :)
I got a problem with a cargo and landing gear; is it ok i can put 4 large cargo and put 2 landing gears in front right next to the entrance of the ship. Is it ok with you right.

Exactly how do you purchase parts? Do you just build a section in a certain starpoint at a time or store them somehow? Haven't tried ship building yet

A lot of parts are locked behind levels/perks, you can use inara.cz/starfield to search for parts & find their locations and requirements

I cant connect any engine to the Deimos Brig 2x2. The option for ANY engine doesnt come up. Can anyone explain why? at 4:51

Can you do the covenant spirit, there is a reddit guy but its not specific with the parts so its confusing
