  • As the foundation of our faith, it is vital that we have total confidence in the physical, bodily resurrection of Jesus.

Yet another great video! But I am still puzzled about where were the guards when Jesus was moving the stone and coming out of the tomb? As you said they could not have slept so tight not to hear the noise...

Hi Andy, just a thought but we know that in his new body Jesus had the ability to disappear and re-appear elsewhere. A bit like Stephen and the Ethiopian eunuch. So I think Jesus just disappeared from inside the tomb, leaving the stone in place and not disturbing the guards. We shall find out one day 😀

John 20:19 tells us that on the first day of the week (after His resurrection) where the disciples were assembled, and the doors were closed (for fear of the Jews), that Jesus came and stood in their midst. This causes me to believe that if Jesus didn't need to enter through the door, then neither would He have needed to roll back the stone. Matt 28:2 tells us WHO rolled back the stone: "And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it."

I really enjoy your videos. Just wondering why you say the spear was thrust through Jesus' heart when the bible says it was thrust into His side.

Hi Scott, I believe I am right in saying that medical opinion is that after death the blood in the heart separated into red blood and clear fluid. For that reason the consensus is that the spear was thrust through Jesus side and into his heart and flowed out as blood and water. Can’t be absolutely sure. Hope that helps. Regards, Dave
