Lee Strobel (along with countless others) is proof that God can draw anyone to Himself. The thing is we have to get over ourselves to come to His calling. Be humble, which is hard. It's amazing to see a man championing Christ when he was so against Him at one time, much like Paul, but Lee didn't even need to encounter Him in person.

Except there is no evidence of the claims the bible says. Yes we are almost certain Jesus existed and that he was a religious figure. However their is little to no evidence to substantiate the claims made by the bible.
There gospels were written 40 years after Jesus death. Outside the bible there very few mentions of Jesus. In that 40 years much Jesus life and ministry was probably horrible exaggerated by the time the author wrote Mathew which was the first gospel.
We don't even know who the author was. We don't know who the eye witness were.
If we had more evidence out side the bible to show then maybe an argument could be made. Right it all hinges on the Bible. Just because the bible tells me so isn't a good enough argument.

@@michaelrunk5930Mark was actually the first gospel written, and the case can certainly be made that the gospels started being written only about 20-25 years after the resurrection. It is a scholarly consensus as well that the first of Pauls letters was written around 48 AD.

Well the evidence for Christ rising from the dead is at best 4 of his very close friends writing about it. Would you accept that I rose from the dead if I provided you with 4 letters from 4 of my close friends saying they saw me rise from the dead?

@@cypherpunk12 The apostles, Paul, and 500 all at the same time. When Jesus died, the apostles were in hiding, scared for their lives, and crushed that their mission seemed to be at an end. @@ronaldmorgan7632 Check your bible and do some research. Paul never saw Jesus before the Crucifixion, Paul supposedly had Jesus come down from heaven and show himself to Paul, this is after the crucifixion and Jesus floating into the clouds. The whole crucifixion and resurrection is only written by 4 of his close friends. Now the hiding part is debatable, there are two views on this. If they were in hiding that makes this even worse as we have no eyewitness accounts of the crucifixion. The other view is they were hiding amongst the crowd and seeing the whole crucifixion. As for the 500 witnesses, I think you are referring to 1 Corinthians 15:6 this is written by Paul from inside a jail cell with Jesus magically beaming what to write into Paul's head. 1 Corinthians is Paul's first letter to the Church of Corinth. So 500 magic head beamed witnesses, are not witnesses at all.
So it's actually only 4 of his close friends writing about this, far less than you think.

@@ronaldmorgan7632 Sorry about the delay the video creator deleted my original response, this is why I come back and check.
Paul was not at the crucifixion of Jesus, Paul never met Jesus prior to the Crucifixion. The 500 people you are speaking about is in 1 Corinthians 15:3-8 and 1 Corinthians is Paul's first letter to the church of Corinth. This letter was written by Paul from inside a prison cell, he supposedly had Jesus beaming the information into his head. Its also not people at the crucifixion, its people seeing Jesus afterwards. Now I'm sorry but magic head beamed witnesses are not witnesses.
So as per my original comment, all we have is 4 of Jesus best pals saying he was crucified and rose from the dead.

@@cypherpunk12 No one is claiming that Paul met Jesus before Jesus was crucified. He met Jesus a year or so later on the road to Damascus. This caused a complete 180 for Paul. He went to see first Peter and James in Jerusalem and got the entire scoop About Jesus's life and what the creed was, thus what he should be preaching. He later came back a few later and verified that what he had been preaching was entirely accurate. Paul was a stickler for accuracy. Again, no one is claiming that 500 people saw the crucification of Jesus. They and the apostles saw him on multiple occasions. Then, Paul saw him and James (the brother of Jesus who did not believe at first, then saw him and believed). Let's at least get our facts straight before trying to make sense of them.

The 39 lashes he endured would account for at least a moderate 7:25 amount of blood loss. That weakened him enough that being crucified finished him off. The swoon theory, which you alluded to, has been debunked long ago.

Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead? But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen: and if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain. Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not. For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised: and if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins. Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished. If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.

Was he actually atheist? Strobel married his wife in a church, and even attended church for several years after his marriage, it doesn't sound like an athirst thing to do to me. Also when Strobel does his investigation he interviews multiple scholars, but no skeptics, for a guy who is an investigative journalist, this seems to be a very odd thing to do. Here is some food for thought however, the best case scenario for the resurrection of Jesus is is 4 of Jesus' close friends claiming it happened. If someone else was claimed to rise from the dead and the best you have is 4 letters from their close friends saying this happened, no sane person would accept this as real. in 1993 while working for the Chicago Tribune Strobel wrote about the Waco Siege, 82 adults claimed that they witnessed David Koresh die, go to heaven and come back, obviously Strobel did not join them. Strobel is a brilliantly intelligent man, he could see the death of his newspaper career, so he jumped onto religion, and today has made far more money than he can imagine from his story.

What brings all denominations together into one Body? The answer is found below.
    New Covenant Whole Gospel:
Let us now share the Old Testament Gospel found below with the whole world. On the road to Emmaus He said the Old Testament is about Him.
He is the very Word of God in John 1:1, 14. Awaken Church to this truth.
Jer 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
Jer 31:32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by
husband unto them, saith the LORD:
Jer 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
Jer 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.
Is the most important genealogy in the Bible found in Matthew 1:1 (Gal. 3:16)? Is God's Son the ultimate fulfillment of Israel (John 1:49)? Why has the modern Church done a pitiful job of sharing the Gospel with modern Orthodox Jews? Why would someone tell them they are God's chosen people and then fail to share the Gospel with them? Who is the seed of the woman promised in Genesis 3:15? Who is the "son" in Psalm 2? Who is the "suffering servant" of Isaiah 53? Who would fulfill the New Covenant promised in Jeremiah 31:31-34? Who would fulfill the timeline of Daniel chapter 9 before the second temple was destroyed? Why have we not heard this simple Old Testament Gospel preached on Christian television in the United States on a regular basis?
Once a person comes to understand the New Covenant promised to Israel and Judah in Jeremiah 31:31-34, which is found fulfilled by Christ during the first century in Hebrews 8:6-13, and Hebrews 10:16-18, and specifically applied to the Church in 2 Corinthians 3:6-8, and Hebrews 12:22-24, man-made Bible doctrines fall apart.
Let us now learn to preach the whole Gospel until He comes back. The King of Israel is risen from the dead! (John 1:49, Acts 2:36)
We are not come to Mount Sinai in Hebrews 12:18. We are come instead to the New Covenant church of Mount Zion and the blood in Hebrews 12:22-24.
1Jn 3:22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
1Jn 3:23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.
1Jn 3:24 And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us.

    Jesus Was Born Incarnate
Jesus was born incarnate to a young Jewish virgin, lived a sin free life, was illegally persecuted and then crucified on a cross on Calvary. He arose three days later defeating death and ascended into Heaven where He sits at the right hand of God.
“Jesus knew He was entering the world to be the final and ultimate sacrifice for sin. His body had been divinely prepared by God specifically for that purpose. Jesus was going to die for the sins of the world, and He knew it. Moreover, He was doing it willingly and joyfully . That was the whole point of His incarnate birth.
Jesus came to earth, of course, to reveal God to mankind. He came to teach truth. He came to fulfill the Law. He came to offer His kingdom. He came to show us how to live. He came to reveal God’s love. He came to bring peace. He came to heal the sick. He came to minister to the needy.
He was raised in a family who didn't believe in His divinity. He had six half-brothers and two or three half-sisters who didn't believe in His divinity until after His resurrection.
What gets me is demons knew His divinity but men and women of His time didn't. Strange.
I presume Mary and Joseph knew His divinity. But in Luke 2:49-50 [NKJV] “He said to them, [His earthly parents] “Why did you seek Me? Did you not know that I must be about My Father’s business?”
Did they not understand Jesus' divinity? This makes me wonder.
"But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." (Matthew 6:33 NKJV)
Luke 3:23 states that Jesus was "about 30 years of age" at the start of his ministry.
Jesus preformed 14-15 miracles (they were called signs) in the three years or so of His ministry on earth. Many miracles were preformed by Jesus Christ but not specifically identified and recorded in God's word.
Jesus' miracles were followed by Jesus forgiving the individuals of their sins and commanded they sin no more. Many of Jesus' miracles were not identified. No other religious leader forgave mankind of their sins.
Our sins separate us from God, and there’s nothing we can do to make things right. So, we need someone to save us from our sins and make us acceptable to God. That someone is Jesus Christ. 'Neither is there salvation in any other: for among men there is given no other Name under heaven, whereby we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12 GNV)
That’s why God sent Jesus to earth. Jesus’ death on the cross paid for every wrong we’ve ever committed or will do. Jesus made it possible for us to have a relationship with God the Father. I am a sinner from birth and need help, Jesus Christ is that help, my only hope.
Therefore by the deeds of the law (Ten Commandments) no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law our sins are recognized not saved.
I try to confess my sins and iniquities before Jesus Christ, at the foot of the cross daily.
Jesus said in Matthew 28:19, to His disciples that: “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.”
I will not have to stand before The Great White Throne of God, my sins have been cleansed by Jesus Christ's crucifixion on the cross. And I am clothed in the righteousness of Christ of all my sins and iniquities before-today, today and forever.
I Love Jesus Christ despite the fact that I'm human and I fail Him daily; I pick up my cross daily and follow Him. I believe that Jesus is the Son of God and that He was crucified on the cross where He died for my sins and inequities and that He rose again on the 3rd day to give me a way through salvation and sanctification. He loves me dearly and forgives my sins and inequities. His Word says that if I deny Him before men, He will deny me before His Father.
Following is one of the greatest verses in God's Word.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16 NKJV)
I am a Christ-follower and live in the Kingdom of God on earth in Jesus Christ, my Lord, Savior and Leader. I have faith and trust in the grace and mercy of God for eternal life for my soul in Heaven when I pass from this life into paradise.
I proclaim this openly to the world, that I am sinner, that I am sorry for my sins and iniquities and repent of my sins and iniquities and receive Jesus Christ by faith into my heart, mind and soul as my Lord, Savior nd Leader. I openly confess Him as Lord from this moment on, I want to follow Him, I pledge to obey Him daily, and read His word. I will include those in my prayers who are lost and have chosen to deny God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ declared: “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” (John 14:6 NKJV)
I am in the “Lamb's Book of Life” and will not face “The Great White Throne of God” which leads to Hell.
    God bless

I have yet to see someone mention the fact that Mark describes Simon of Cyrene as the father of Rufus and Alexander. This means that both Mark and his readers definitely knew Simon’s sons (else the reference would be pointless) and Mark most likely knew Simon. This means that Mark had the testimony of an eyewitness to the crucifixion or at least the testimony of that witness’s sons. This gives irrefutable evidence of the historicity of Jesus and his death.

What about the Roman Guard watching the tomb of Jesus and witnessing the earthquake, and angels opening the door of the tomb? For which instead of being killed for letting the prisoner escape
( or rather be taken away ) instead they were given large amounts of money to swear that he WAS taken away.
I'm sure Joseph of Aramathea had no problem getting to bury the body of Jesus in his solid secure tomb as
Pilate was most likely very happy to have a secure place to lock him in.
Not just thrown on the heap.
Jesus was completely dead on the cross. The soldiers that stuck a spear piercing his side were the Coroner's and record keepers. Piercing his side in the correct spot let clear fluid out if he were already dead thereby insuring no need to break the legs. The word says that
' his record is true ' and the record was that the prisoner was indeed deceased.
If they let one slip by then they would be on a cross next.
No fainting here. No one comes down with any life left.

Why is it, or why do you think that God went from speaking to us with burning bushes, or sending Angels like he did to Abraham, etc. To pure silence?!?
I mean yes, we (ALL) get "FEELINGS", or "VOICES" that makes us feel certain ways, or like our subconsciousness, or "SELF THOUGHT", we can hear....
But why do we not have anything "DEFINITIVE"?!? There is nothing to say that he cannot speak to us anymore, or that he cannot appear to us anymore even, etc. In fact Revelation among many other books tells us he is with us even until the end of the world itself.
So why?!? Why does he not come to us? Or send his angels anymore? Or speak to us like he did Moses and Abraham?!?
The reason i ask Mr Cameron.... Is i am longing for the voice of my God... I want it more than all.... To just ask "WHY"?!?
I have seen so much, so many people i loved, and still love suffer so much... I have lost so much.. And i cannot get over it. It hurts too much.... It's unbearable, rips my soul apart the more i think of it....
I wouldn't wish what i have been though upon (ANYONE)... If i could take the place of my Courtney i would.. In a instance.. I love her that much...
I know he is real.. "GOD" that is.... The things my Courtney told me that happened to her when she was upon deaths door, being in a "ROOM FULL OF GEARS" while she was being kept company by a man , that she had no fear, who told her she would be okay......
I just cannot help but ask why..... I mean.... He is God... He commands a force that our tiny minds cannot even fathom, why could he not send a angel to speak with someone, or appear as a voice in a fire like he did Moses?!?
    Why the silence?!?

There is (NOTHING) to stop him from communicating with us. NOTHING!

I sit in awe of the events and tragedies of my life experiences, and all i can hope for is just a conversation, or even him justing saying to me. I'M HERE!
Forgive me again, but sometimes words printed in a book just isn't enough.
Seeing isn't believing, but sometimes believing is "SEEING" the thing you believe in, and i need it now more than ever and so do so many more.
I cannot accept the thoughts of "THIS OR THAT HAPPENED" and that is why you don't see it etc.
I cannot accept that in my existence NO ONE CAN EXPLAIN BTW, that my (1) chance at life i cannot even say hey.. You are the almighty creator, glory personified. But please, i beg, speak with me. That is all.
Call em a doubting Thomas. That is fine. But sometimes again, believing is seeing, and when you have witnessed the things i have, and seen the worst things life can hand you, you need such things to happen. Even if just for sanity sakes only.

Lazarus came back to life so Jesus wasn't the only one.
"I have all power over heaven and earth." If you had all power, would you choose to suffer?
The Crucifixion showed that we, like Lazarus and Jesus, are not bodies but spirit. "That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit."
The main lesson that is missed by nearly everyone is that Jesus went through what we all do. He felt separated from God, forsaken. He told us how to reunite with God and His creation. "Forgive them for they know not what they do." Mercy reunites us and ends our guilt, which separates us from God and life. “Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.”
And then we remember who we are as spirit, created in the likeness of God, who doesn't create sin.
"If you had known what these words mean, 'I desire mercy, not sacrifice,' you would not have condemned the innocent."

The trouble is we keep thinking the Bible is a reliable source. Best case scenario, 4 of Jesus best friends wrote about the crucifixion, it’s fair to say this could be one sided. A person rising from the dead is not the sort of thing people do not notice, yet the best we have is this. No sane person would accept that anyone else arose from the dead if the evidence was 4 letters by people who claim to be the best friend of the resurrected person, so there is no logic accepting the Jesus resurrection as true with the same weak claims.
To put this into a perspective you might understand, fast forward to the year 1977, in this year we had the vast majority of Americans educated, color cameras, doctors who knew what death was, and had multiple ways to test death, and the cause of death. Well in the year 1977 a very famous person named Elvis Presley died, doctors who specialized in death (coroners) signed the death certificate, multiple people saw the body, there is even a leaked photo of the corpse, despite all of this there is thousands of people who claim to have seen Elvis alive after his confirmed death. There are videos, and even people alive today that will tell you their testimony, people who were not even a fan of Elvis, yet despite all of this, most people (including myself) will accept that Elvis is dead. So given all this evidence for the resurrection of Elvis, to accept he is dead and Jesus rose from the dead is the greatest double standard of all time. So if you believe Jesus rose from the dead, and Elvis did not ask yourself 2 simple questions. 1. What evidence would you need to believe Elvis rose from the dead? 2. Do you have that evidence for Jesus? Because if your answer to question 2 is “no” then your beliefs are illogical, and you have a massive double standard.

A "lie" to be able to deceive some that it's true must have some truth in it, ** Genesis 26:4, 28:14, 17:18-21, 21-12**, Muhammad is an Ismaelite. It would mean that at the time of Muhammad, even Arabs have heard about the miracles of Jesus, and believe that Jesus was seen alive, that the Quran had to "explain" that Jesus was never crucified. The timing of the crucifixion was crucial to avoid rioting. God in His sovereignty had timed it to happen on a day before Sabbath. During those times where most people only walk to go around, most of the Jews would have been in their own localities or at home for the Sabbath. Only interested residents of Jerusalem would have witnessed the crucifixion. And after Sabbath, there will be no cause for rioting, for "the crucified" was alive. Maybe this is the reason for the controversy, whether Jesus really was crucified or not. It is said that even Barnabas wrote that Jesus was not crucified. He was not among the original 12 disciples, the apostles of Jesus Christ, he may have not witnessed the crucifixion, but saw the resurrected Jesus Christ.
