A FB friend shared the scene of the Woman at the Well with me back in 2020. I'd ignored every other Chosen promo on FB, but I watched this scene bc she's a young woman and I'm a senior, I wanted to know why it touched her. Then I proceeded to cry my eyes out through the scene, and since then I'm hooked for life!

      Good to hear.
I can't quite understand how some believers won't even give The Chosen a chance. There are so many scenes that touch your heart and the next thing you know a tear or tears start to flow due to a scene that visually brings the word to life and touches your heart.

@@jazshas That is because we Biblical Christians recognize that a show presenting 95% fiction (according to Dallas himself), from the imagination of an Atheist lead writer and the plethora of unbelievers and Heretics that create the show, is not only adding to God's Word, putting words in God's mouth that are not recorded, but is in and of itself a violation of God's Commandments. We recognize that Jonathan Roumie belongs to a system that rejects salvation through faith alone, is an idolator, and routinely communes with the dead. We will not "Yoke" ourselves to those who present "Another Gospel". We're not interested in Mormon theology, plausibility, or scenes created to emotionally control the viewer. Dallas elected to partner with those who declare another gospel, another Jesus, and another salvation. We don't come to Christ through emotions but by faith. There is not a single Christian affiliated with the show's creation. Even if there were, the Holy Spirit would have nothing to do with it, as He is not divided with the Father and Son.

Suffering disproves a loving god. Focusing on resurrections, demons, devils, eternal torture, heaven is really only a distraction and leads to more suffering and dispair. If human beings were designed we were designed by malice. Human beings are disgusting bags of walking crap, decomposing daily. We are filled with diseases, chronic pain waiting to die or be killed at any moment. Reality points to us evolving from primoridal soup which would explain us perfectly. On planet earth human conception is just the first stage of human destruction and death. If planet earth was designed it was designed to kill and destroy human beings and every other living entity. From the planet's environment, famines, wars, natural disasters, animals (including the human kind), old age, parasites, insects, viruses, bacteria, etc...if designed it was designed to kill and destroy. As humans we have just evolved to survive the best we can...which is one of the reasons religion came to be. We need a hope to pretend in to keep us from focusing every minute on being killed or dying. But the only true hope any human being will ever have is in the present moment. It is in this moment we can experience happiness and joy and love. So while Christians like to focus on homosexuality, abortions, black mermaids or other sanctimonious bullshit...remember it is only their extreme cowardice of not be able to comprehend the true lie of their supposed god.

One of the best interviews with Dallas Jenkins that I have seen. We may not agree with everything in the Chosen, but the intention of the series is stated clearly at the beginning, and is repeated by Dallas over and over. The deep biblical concepts and alignment to Scripture are exceptional. E.g. the episode focusing on Shabbat, the historical exploration of the various Jewish groups and the reasons for their aversion to Jesus, the one on one encounters and the miracles, (most of which are practically word for word). Take the series for what it is, take your Bible and immerse yourself in it, let your soul be drawn closer to God, and to walk in loving obedience to Him.

It's touched me (and I'm sure others) how Jesus was soooo portraited as human but yet still held that divine image. We still knew he was God. Simply well put together. So many scenes had me in joyous tears. What a wonderful production. Our world, that God gave us needs more of Jesus's love and compassion. Thank you Kirk Cameron for this wonderful interview. Excellent point Dallas relating that a pastor gives context. I was hesitant to watch The Chosen and I’m so glad I am watching it. I’ve been to the depths of darkness over and over again in my life. I brought much of it on myself. Through it all I did not lose faith and I begged Jesus for help. I tried to live a moral life. He has led me beside still waters showing me Himself in very personal ways. The movie brings this to the forefront and I can relate because it’s my own personal experience with a kind and loving Lord. The Bible says the angels rejoice over one sinner that repents and comes. Jesus walks with each of us. In the midst of my darkness and begging and trying to overcome in my own power - and overwhelmed with feelings and thoughts of condemnation - His gentle voice has spoken to me, so much so that it stopped me in my tracks. He has showed me who He is and it’s beyond words to truely explain it.
Kurt, thank you for this interview. Dallas, thank you for capturing the time and place of which Jesus walked among us and the very personal relationships He had. God bless you both and your families as you continue to walk forward in the Lord.

Dallas has opened my eyes and ears to the gospel. I don't believe he has detracted away from the scripture, but has opened it up and makes me realise they are going through exactly the same stuff we are today. That is what we should be sharing and expressing about Jesus when evangelising. We were once sinners, now we are forgiven, but we are not perfect either. Let's show that to people we meet, try to love them as Christ asks us to. It's hard, but we have to learn.

I just got into the story always expecting Him to appear, just like I do today, waiting for that Blessed Hope, waiting for Him to appear in real life. And when He finally appeared in that episode, I immediately knew it was Jesus, even though I had never seen any previews or promotions. And that last scene hit me so deeply I will never forget it. I see a few comments criticizing The Chosen, which is fine. It's their prerogative if they want to criticize it. However, as a 23 year old who was not raised a Christian, "The Chosen" is something that I can watch again and again and helps me stay on a steady path of consuming mainly Christian media. It helps remind me of my love and immense gratitude for Jesus. It is not vulgar or bad, unlike most other shows/movies that people my age are watching. Yes, there are other Christian shows and movies but this is one of the highest quality Christian projects I have seen. Nothing in the show is contradictory to Scripture and the first episode clearly states it isn't a replacement for Scripture. I feel like people are unnecessarily harsh with this show, a show that is helping a lot of people reach for their Bibles and dig deeper into their faith.

Dallas, have you shared the gospel with Jonathan, your business partners and your condemned crew? I hope the answer is no because if you have, they either didn’t understand or have “chosen” to go after idols instead.
“and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.””

If people watching the first scene of Season 1 say, “Hey, where’s Jesus?” they’re not really paying attention to the title of the show. At least as I understand it, “The Chosen” refers not to Jesus Himself but to those who were chosen by Him to be His disciples.

Great show and interview. One thing I feel I need to share about what Kirk said. Many ask why did God allow evil in the world? Why did he create Satan? I’m not a pastor or a theologian just a follower of Jesus, but I heard somewhere the best answer to these questions for me. He didn’t bring evil into the world we did, his creation through Adam and Eve. So why create Lucifer and allow him to be able to trick Eve? Because he made Lucifer with free will like us apparently. We are created all to have free will, to chose him or reject him. This is why we are made in his image so we can chose to love him and chose to have a relationship with him, because we love him and he loves us…

We are all struggling to bring Jesus to those who resist, who reject, who misunderstand Him, but need Him so much. If we are not doing that, we have no right to discredit those who are. He works through us when we listen to Him. In listening we learn that there is no one way to reach the hearts of our brothers and sisters. Each of our lives, temperaments, and experiences are unique. We soon learn that He comes to each of His children in a customized way. Our response to these differences in ministry can be to condemn them because we disagree with any variation to what we believe is the right way. Or, we can choose to pray for each other in our ministries and pray for those being ministered to. That way, we not only assist our brothers and sisters, we assist Jesus in growing His kingdom. Just a thought. 🤗

Oh my goodness, this is my 1st time on here. Oh how I love The Chosen and believe God's hand is all over every part of it. I am one also I was, but God, then now. My aha moment is seeing the human side of Jesus. There are too many moments where I see myself in the show. Most of all when Jesus called the Woman Daughter; the one in season 3 with the woman who was healed by touching Jesus' prayer tassel. But then when you see Simon under the water in the very last seen and Jesus hand comes through the water to save him. That's how I feel Jesus saved me; by reaching His hand through the water. Then Jesus not letting me go. The way Simon clung to Jesus is how I see me clinging to Jesus, and He never lets me go. Now I'm going nuts for season 4 to start!!!

This show pushes people to open their Bibles and read it. It pushea people to go to church and listen to the Word. This show is forcing people on their knees, thanking God, asking God for forgiveness or coming to God for the first time, asking Him to come into their heart and make them whole...
The fact that there is ANY backlash from within the Christian community boggles my mind. Dallas is doing a wonderful job bringing the Bible to life and doing the work of Christ as we all should be and shouldn't be condemned for it, but congratulated.
