He killls me every video when he says “let’s talk about what’s going on here..” and gets closer to the camera before going into the cars history 🤣🤣 I love it!
Beautiful car. Fantastic presentation as always Joe. The one reason I won't zonk the prop rods like you do, is because they guarantee safety forever with no chance of the bonnet falling on your head as you check your engine fluids!!!
I love my Lexus UX! It’s perfect for me I added the safety sensory package. The touch screen and radio operation is a bit frustrating to deal with. The car is very comfortable but when driving it doesn’t have much visual when looking side to side. The back seats are a bit tight especially for me when I have two kiddies with the car seats. I didn’t purchase the hybrid cause I don’t want to pay over 1K to replace the battery. But the hybrid is a quiet drive and smooth! I still love my car anyway!
Funny you praised the visibility. My wife owns one of these and we feel the visibility is its biggest weakness. The A,B,C pillars are all above average in size. Personally the B pillar is the most frustrating to me when backing out of parking spots or on the highway. Personally I think it has ample power around town or on the highway and I can easily get 45mpg out of it. It is a good little car!
As a viewer of dougdemuro and carwow for years i have to say once i found this guy 1 year ago he is a must watch for me ..... greetings from Greece .... although we dont have all that american cars u review, i still enjoy all your reviews
We have the non-hybrid version of this car in our family corral. After nearly a year of service, one word: FLAWLESS! I see this as an affordable luxury daily driver for the urban commuter who wants top rated safety, high mpgs, exceptional handling in this class and a reasonable level of, "Hey! Look what I've got!!!" social cache. As for hybrid, or no hybrid, for me it depends on whether you're a urban or rural driver. Ours is a 90% rural driver, so the 3mpg gain in highway driving would take over 100,000 miles to pay for the "hybrid premium". Yes, sometimes buying a car is about math.🤔
hahahah😂😂😂thank you islandon my wife is doctor and she want to buy this car. i said we should buy hybrid and you told me the truth. i did calculate and find only difference 2000 dollars after 100000km.😂i will buy non hybrid.
I just want to say Joe you do an excellent job reviewing all these cars I like how you break it down and give really great details about each car. And I really when you tell what kind of snacks to can store in the car. Joe please keep up the fantastic work.
The placement of start stop button on the inner side of the car bothers more than I thought. Especially when you got out of the car and forget to turn it off since it is so quiet idle. You have to reach over while standing up quite often
The weird thing about the up here in Canada is the ventilated seats are standard on the base model, but if you take any of the F-Sport packages, they remove the ventilated seats.
Drove this as a rental for a day. Would not recommend for tall couples (im 6'2) if you want to have people in the back. Perfect car for a young (kidless) couple :). Fancy on the inside and the rugged look helps as well.
I love it. It does sip gas. But it has the tiniest gas tank and you'll fill up just as often as other cars anyway. Granted, you can pay with your pocket change.
JOE YOU FRIGGIN ROCK DUDE...you should be endorsed by all of the snack food companies...and the innuendo keep me rolling on the damn floor with laughter..I have a dirty mind so it really speaks to me when you inadvertently mention something...I bet Lori is wanting to laugh so bad
I owned a Lexus ES for about a week already. It is not so bad pertaining to the trackpad once you’re use to it. At the beginning it is kinda difficult.
Joe and Lori: Another great review and outstanding camera work. For 43 grand I’m still zonking the lack of touch screen, the trac-pad and sluggish Acceleration and plain door panels. Great green color and super mpg’s. zonk the CVT tranny!
15:00 every inch counts! you a LEGEND RAITI! been watching your videos years ago! back when you started! you are natural at these amazing car reviews! you practically sell the cars with your amazing reviews! You helped me make a sound decision on the Volvo XC40 as I was comparing it against the Lexus UX.
0-60 in 8.6 seconds is as fast as a 1979 Mustang Cobra 5.0 V8 or a 1981 DeLorean. It's quicker than a 1974 Maserati Quattroporte II and easily beats a 1971 Mercedes 450SL.
Great interior, love playing my old CDs, without having to rip them, and enjoy. The touchpad should be easy to use, like on my laptop. Voice commands are great.
It's a Prius engine right? The reason I ask is because I have 2014 Prius and it pushes 140hp. Keep doing what you guys are doing, a video that you guys did covering the RX350 posted me to get that for the wife. Great job guys
Great entry level Lexus! Still, biggest zonk has to be that CVT. Always thought it sounded like a number-cruncher's design, that's where I'm scratching myself... Thanks for everything you do, Lori! Got a ride in a Lexus, hmm?
Even as a Toyota/Lexus fan, I think the XC40 is the best vehicle in the segment, better than even the Germans. Of course, I would only consider leasing any of them. The UX is too slow for my tastes, and built to a price point.
I test drove this before. It’s nice but If you buy this car, it needs to have the triple beam LED package. It’s 2022 almost. I refuse to buy any car that doesn’t use all LEDs 😤😤
Proud new owner of the 2021 UX F Sport AWD. I drove a 2016 RAV for 5 years and wanted to move down to a smaller daily driver. I also test drove the NX, preferred the ride of the UX. The fit and finish, safety ratings, hybrid, and Lexus luxury sold me on this car. The RAV was peppier, however, rode like rubbish, horrible road noise, and no fit and finish. Hoping it handles well in the snow!
I hardly see any of these on the road. Maybe 10 Mercedes GLA per 1 Lexus UX. Which is odd since I think it’s a decent vehicle. But I still prefer the Volvo XC40 over this, the UX being the easy second choice. I drove the German equivalent and I wasn’t as impressed as the Volvo or Lexus.
its missing the 360 degree aka surround view camera system.... and then they also got rid of the triple beam headlights on the F sport trims.... smh Lexus
Maaaaaaaan....Lexus out here tryna plug every price point with a crossover huh!!! We see you, Lexus. That trackpad needs to go for me though, and it could definitely use the F treatment with a few more ponies. Great review as usual Joe and Lori!!! Y'all out here killing these reviews!!! #RaitisRides #534kSubsAndCounting #OnThrottle #ToTheDoorPanel #TwinkiesForDays #OnThrottleAgain #LoriGotAngles #CameraQueen #Zonkmeister #OnThrottleAllOverThePlace #IfYoureReadyImReady #Lexus #UX250h
Great video. My wife wants one of these. Local dealer said the 21s are trickling in; which is the only way you can lease one. They have some 20s left but no lease deals. The whiteish looking leather is called birch I am told. How do ya keep that clean. I must be too much of a country boy trying to step into the luxury market.
Thank you so much 😊 for this. I just put a comment for you to give me your opinion on this car/model. I’m interested in getting one but I wanted your feedback. Thanks again
It’s a cute car but unfortunately the competition is better What’s worse is that the rav4 hybrid and venza hybrid both exist and they are better in every way than the UX
The only brands I would buy a car from are Toyota and Lexus. Reliability all the way 💪
Any Japanese is reliable
@@NYCQ50 and that’s where you are wrong.
@@NYCQ50 Honda is having infotainment issues and transmission issues. Especially Nissan with those weak transmission cvt transmissions
@@favianavazquez5752 I've had a maxima and have a murrano now. No problems and the maxima is fast
@@NYCQ50 you must have gotten lucky or have low miles
Cool little car, honestly seems like a decent price considering this one is totally loaded plus Lexus luxury and reliability. Great vid!
I totally agree with you! Thank you for letting share with you!
Yep! I optioned one out and it came out to only 37k! That’s a great entry point into the luxury car game
It’s crap honestly
Even though this UX hybrid is way too small for me, it's still a good buy.
I agree with you!
@@RaitisRides I'm so glad we can both agree.
This is the perfect size for me. Just what I've been looking for
This actually a good, small, underrated crossover for a lot of people. Great explanation and review Joe!
He killls me every video when he says “let’s talk about what’s going on here..” and gets closer to the camera before going into the cars history 🤣🤣 I love it!

Not sure you would replace the battery during your life owning the car. They can do +100K.
I agree with the visibility issue
I'm very happy the small Lexus hatchback is back
I always thought a CT200h with current Lexus styling would be art, and it sure is here
I've been looking at small SUVs that are hybrid....and this Suv is a better deal than the RAV4s and CRVs. I'm saving up for a UX now!
If you want something similar a CT200h is also good
This is a car that can easily fit in my lineup along my gas drinker GX460. This UX is definitely a good option for every day travel in the city.
That women staring in the back she also wanted to so see raiti's rides but in 1st person lol 5:46

I had it as a loaner. I love how it handles better than my RX. If I was not married with no kids I’d get this over the RX
reminds me of the Honda Crosstour, wish they still made it.
They are bringing it back I heard. Look it up.
This car would be nice if Lexus can add some sound deadening and add a touch screen during their mid cycle refresh.
Thank you Joe for bringing this out!! I love the UX Hybrid but it could use a bit more power
"There may be someone on a bicycle that will pass you." The humor is what sells me
Keep up the good work Joe! 43k is a great price for top trim, props to lexus. Except those boring door panels.
Thanks for the awesome support!

This Lexus is selling like hotcakes really nice car but I wish they still made the hatchback CT
Why, this is essentially the same thing but quicker and had AWD
I love it. Looks nice, high quality, and very economical
Love the interior
I’m so glad like this one!
The placement of start stop button on the inner side of the car bothers more than I thought. Especially when you got out of the car and forget to turn it off since it is so quiet idle. You have to reach over while standing up quite often
Got one last month. Love it!
Congrats!
The weird thing about the up here in Canada is the ventilated seats are standard on the base model, but if you take any of the F-Sport packages, they remove the ventilated seats.
That is so strange! You guys up north always get more!
Joe, it checks off all but one box for me: wish it had a little more zip, say 0-60 in 6 seconds, to get out of the way of those big SUVs.
Drove this as a rental for a day. Would not recommend for tall couples (im 6'2) if you want to have people in the back. Perfect car for a young (kidless) couple :). Fancy on the inside and the rugged look helps as well.

The pricing here means that a fully loaded one is worth more than a base NX hybrid which offers much space
I owned a Lexus ES for about a week already. It is not so bad pertaining to the trackpad once you’re use to it. At the beginning it is kinda difficult.
Love the green. I dig this little ride not perfect for sure though but very liveable.
Really enjoyed your thorough evaluation of this vehicle.

I'm a prop rod guy myself. I'd hate for the struts to give out if I were under the hood looking at something.
with that CD player for the 10 inch its a DVD player also. So you can watch movies while in park

181 horsepower and a CVT. Yee-haw!

It's the new 2 litre Dynamic Force engine mated to the 4th generation hybrid technology.
Can you fit 2 sets of golf clubs in the trunk? Great vid, thank you!

Thanks Adam for sharing those great points and being awesome!
I never knew anything abut the UX250. thanks for a review
I am so glad that I can share this one with you Dan!
i bought one of these last weekend.. Believe it or not but I found that the non F-Sport seats to be more comfortable. :)
I think it's over price and it needs power. It's just a luxury version of Toyota CHR both looks good but both seriously needs power.
This car doesn't have the fifth tire ?
Great review Joe. Still not a fan of the Lexus grille.
Just wondering Joe, what kind of car do you drive? Love you videos btw. You and your wife make a great team!
Even as a Toyota/Lexus fan, I think the XC40 is the best vehicle in the segment, better than even the Germans. Of course, I would only consider leasing any of them. The UX is too slow for my tastes, and built to a price point.
I love Lexus but when checking this car out we ended up choosing a Venza. But if your looking for a small commuter car then pick this up.

Love this Lexus UX class but what'll happen if cars were pure perfect without mistakes?
Where is the spare tire?
I thought this car was gonna have a price number less than what the price you just said because it looks small.

its such a beautiful and nice car, its my dream car and the one my dad is gonna get me when i turn 16. i cant wait!!!
its missing the 360 degree aka surround view camera system.... and then they also got rid of the triple beam headlights on the F sport trims.... smh Lexus
Hey joe why can’t the bicycle stand up on its own?
Because it was two tired

That suv look fire 🔥
Great name, love how they tie it back to Japan. makes me hungry for Sushi.
Thank you so much 😊 for this. I just put a comment for you to give me your opinion on this car/model. I’m interested in getting one but I wanted your feedback. Thanks again
You are so very welcome Adriana!
I was interested in this, until I saw the low HP and slow 0-60 times.
I believe it's also safe chassis as Mazda cx 3 and the Toyota yaris
Great test Raiti’s.
12:05 that rubber under metal Lexus sign is already peeling off? Lol that is some Lexus quality
It's dirt... lol
Thought that was Khaki metal green great review. My bad I see you guys have the Norl green pearl we get the Khaki metal down under
Great honest review!!!!!

At minute 9:20 is where this video crumbled Lexus and their main problem. Ancient technology.
Compared to BMW X2,Audi Q3 Or Mercedes GLA but is Like Toyota C-HR
